Funny the amount of traffic this article has drawn given the number of people here that most likely don't own Kinect, let alone use it to navigate Netflix.
I've used Kinect to navigate Sky Player and it works just fine. I guess they will improve the Netflix integration down the line.
I thought that Assassin's Creed was going to be a trilogy, but I get the feeling now that they're going to start milking it. In their defense there are lots of interesting settings that they could use, and as long as they're quality games and keep adding new features, which they have done thus far. However, Assassin's Creed shouldn't be franchise of yearly installments.
I thought PS3 owners were happy with their interactive comic?
The same could be said for God of War. I've never perceived it to be that popular over here compared to the US, whereas Gran Turismo is the exact opposite.
I don't really see how. If you don't download the weapons pack then you're effectively placing yourself at a disadvantage, which I doubt any serious player would put up with.
I know but look at every fighting game released in the last year and they're all using these 2D planes - Mortal Kombat will and so will this. Not that there's anything wrong with them but they're not taking advantage of the technology available to them and therefore not taking the genre forward.
I don't think this feature is all it's cracked up to be. Unless you're a PSN user that specifically knows someone with a Steam account (or vice versa) then there's no benefit to it. It's not like the combined community makes it better than playing over Xbox Live or anything.
I wish that they didn't use a 2D plane for EVERY fighting game now. Given the current technology they could make a truly awesome fighter with fully interactive stages, but no one has dared to do it.
I personally feel more in control when I use a controller. That could just be my familiarity with a controller, even though I used to play PC games a lot. It's horses for courses at the end of the day.
Bloody hell, pretty much all the best XBLA games are getting discounted!
You wouldn't buy a 4GB model if you knew you would be downloading stuff, but I guess you would have to either buy a 360 hard drive or use a USB external drive.
I think 2013 has been earmarked for next-gen, which is fine with me. Still a couple of years to squeeze even more out of the 360.
Actually I think it's better to see IGN use the full review spectrum more, they used to overrate game so much.
You're all so sad.
SOCOM 2 was one of the best online games of the last generation. How the mighty have fallen.
Plus he's grown a beard now so it's already out of date.
I don't think it's a case of who's more evil, it's the case that both are huge corporations that will stop at nothing to protect their investments. Nintendo would do the same if the shoe was on the other foot.
He actually said he preferred developing for the 360, but that the PS3 is ultimately more powerful. I think this is the common perception for many developers.
Modern Warfare 3
It's £80 at Game now.
