Why? The PC crowd buys so few a copies that they could cut their losses and make it console specific and more than likely not lose any sleep over it.
And a poorly informed opinion at that...
The quote from David Cage about playing the game only once.
http://spawnkill.com/respon...
It would seem that with DLC, if this game is supposed to be close to real life, DLC would counter act the idea of reality in a gaming world.
I thought the point of the game was to play it through once and feel the reality entwined in the game. Event he dev said they would like to see people play the game through only once to get the feel of what reality would be like if it were in the world of Heavy Rain. DLC seems to conflict with this concept.
From the article: "The Playstation 3 launched in Japan on November 11, 2006. The Nintendo Wii came out about a month later on December 2. Despite that, the Nintendo Wii managed to more than double the Playstation 3 in hardware sales in Japan."
Now I am not scholar but wouldn't this have something to do with the price difference between the PS3 and the Wii on release? I mean, 250 dollars versus 600 dollars... I don't know, it would seem the cheaper one would sell more....
I have yet to experience anything worse than the Javelin Glitch. The best way to cure that one was to go into HC Team Deathmatch. After the idiots killed half their team they quit doing it. Besides, I have yet to have any issues and love the game so it's what I play.
Of course, I play on PS3 so to the idiot that claims people bash the game because they are PS3 players... STFU moron.
If you do not have time to complete a game then don't start. Quiters are douche bags no matter how you paint the picture and if you can't stay around to complete the game you started then don't start one in the first place. Take your lumps and quit complaining. (directed to the author of the article)
They did this because back then, "pink was the new black" and if the game's color palette did not consist of pink and purple firearms, it was it worth mentioning. I am glad to see that they have woken up and realized how stupid a purple gun really looks.
It deserves it. No other game compares to Uncharted 2 right now. If you do not have a PS3 you need to get one for this game alone. It is THE reason at the moment to buy a PS3 and enjoy a great console.
The game will look great but in no way, no how, no chance will it look like the "in-game" trailer. The 360 is just not capable of that kind of graphics. If it was, we would have seen them already. It only took the PS3 a little over two years to have graphics that look like that. If the 360 could do that then somebody would have pushed it to the limit already but instead we get blah graphics and good gameplay. Nothing to complain about the delusional xbox fanboys here make me laugh a...
lol
Yeah, actual footage... FROM A CUT SCENE IN THE GAME! Got it? Good!
CGI or not, that is not, and I repeat, NOT how the final game is going to look.
The 360 fanboys are crazy! How can you guys actually talk about this game knowing that the video you all saw was a cut scene? Do you actually think that the ct scene was representative to what the game will look like? need I remind you of the cool commercials for Halo 3 and how they looked very good then the game itself look like a$$? Come on folks, this 360 delusions of grandeur is sickening.
Hope this game turns out ok. From what I understand, they are not helping out with the developing but only publishing.
PC sales of COD4 lagged behind the console versions too! Wow, didn't see this one coming.
It is packed with features, won't fail on you in three weeks, and it looks cool. Everybody knows the cool kids want a PS3 this holiday season.
No ooohing or aaahing going on here. I typically reserve my oooh's and aaahs for real in-game footage, not pre-rendered cut scenes.
This is so true. What they do not see though is that "IF" the 360 ever has a game that looks as awesome as Killzone 2, by that time the PS3 will have released more games that look even better than it.
But hey, it's not just about graphics, it's about gameplay too right?
That when Sony releases a target video for Killzone 2, the crowds cry foul and bash Sony for years until the game is released and then they all eat a huge plate of crow. But now we see a target render for Halo Reach and the crowd is telling us that the Xbox 360 has staying power? Why the huge level of hypocrisy?
Retailers project their own sales and keep stock low to ensure they release (sell) all console bought from Sony. The only way out is if the retailer agrees to sell back unsold units to Sony and last I checked the retailers typically take a hit for restocking and thus pay Sony money to return unsold units. I have a business degree and know a little bit about retail so if you have any questions let me know.
In the end, sold to retail means sold to consumer since in the end the re...
