Such a great game; too bad we will never see another one. The first two Shadow Hearts games were excellent. They were so romantic, tragic and heartbreaking. Yuri's love and eventual sacrifice for Alice brought a tear to my eye. He wanted to be with her so bad and seeing him cry made me cry at that time. I am just a sucker for romance. That is why Shadow Hearts and FFVIII are my favorite RPGs.

Agreed. Fallout 4 was pretty disappointing after all that hype. The poor grpahics, the dumbed down gameplay, bad story, and meaningless choices were really disappointing. Besides the game is more of a sandbox open world game than an RPG.
The defining features of an RPG are memorable characters, engrossing story and meaningful choices that impact the story. Fallout 4 is lacking in all of those severely and Witcher 3 has them in spades.
I just learned this is Yoru no nai kuni that was released in Japan a while ago! I will keep an eye on this but I still cant find it on the PS store. I though it would be available for preorder.

First of Metal Gear is not a JRPG which are normally the biggest selling games in Japan. Even Bloodborne is far from a traditional JRPG and is a niche hardcore game. FFXIII sold a million on launch day alone in Japan so I expect equal or better than that by FFXV. SE shipped 2 million copies for FFXIII launch. The hype and anticipation for FFXV is massive. 1 million sales is paltry for an FF.
That is because no big name JRPGs have been released so far on PS4. Just wait for FFXV and DQXI and it will be an eye opener for you. Just search for the Japanese sales of past iterations of both of those franchises. They sell in multimillions in Japan; not just 1 million. Hardware sales soar to record highs and people take days off in Japan when both of those games release.
I hope you are just joking because otherwise you would be proven horribly wrong. Final Fantasy XIII sold 1 MILLION on LAUNCH DAY in Japan! It went on to sell 3 MILLION over lifetime in Japan. Splatoon has just barely reached 1 million in comparison, which is great by the way but no where near FF and DQ levels. Just look at Kopko and Kabala's comments below. :P These days Xbox fans are all about gameplay over graphics. They cant see any difference between texture and shadow quality or 720p and 1080p. Last gen even a little better blades of grass and zoomed in aliasing seemed clear as a sunny day to them. Lol.

Man, I wish this relased on consoles. I would buy it in an instant. Have played FFXIV on PS4 for 9 months and loved it.

It isnt about excuses. It is about logic and common sense. Star Wars had a PS4 bundle and bundled copies do not count towards NPD sales chart. Many people just bought the PS4 bundle so the sales of those bundled copies were not counted in NPD software chart. On the other hand, all the sales on Xbox One were stand alone copies so all of them counted towards NPD chart. Hence the apparently more copies sold on Xbox One.
Hmmm. Valkyrie Profile has not been completely forgotten. We just might get another Valkyrie Profile since JRPGs are going through a revival these days.
