I am a console gamer and I was talking about consoles when I said what you quoted. I claimed that upgradeable console plan will ruin console gaming and I am sure about it. Spencer has already clarified in the Podcast that they will not be releasing a modular console. He said he will not be giving a screwdriver set with each Xbox. Instead he meant releasing improved console model each year like smartphones. However, will people buy a new console each year? You cannot buy consoles on contracts so you will have to pay $500 or probably a lot more each year because latest hardware does not comes cheap.

Windows is just one of several operating systems available although it is the most popular. A game released for Windows will run on a PC with Windows installed but will not run on a computer with Linux or Apple OSX installed.

What scale did you exactly use to measure the "best" exclusives? You cant use metacritic because PS4 wins by that measure. It has the most and highest rated exclusives this gen. Xbox One does not even have a single exclusive with a 90+ metacritic score. Furthermore, most of them are overhyped commercial flops while PS4 exclusives sell millions. Any other measure of "best" is purely opinion.

First of all, nobody buys games from the Windows store and we even got an article from a reputed PC gaming site that PC gamers should stay away from Windows store because of the undesirable policies and practices. I think MS is looking for a graceful exit from console gaming. They will combine all the Windows platforms, make Xbox's existence meaningless and then phase it out without ever having to admit that they are bowing out. Simplicity has been the main charm and feature of consoles since their invention. You just plug and play; well, you can add Day One Patches to that process nowadays but it is still much simpler than gaming on PC.
