I can't see Gears ever landing on PlayStation (that IS what "other platforms" means to everyone right?). MS would give its left nut to hang on to Gears if Epic considered making it MP. There's that, which prettymuch guarantees its exclusivity, and the fact that Cliffy and Co. are clearly pro PC/Xbox, much like Insomniac is pro PS. Epic makes PC/Xbox games, so like any mainly PC developer, they tend to looooove Xbox. Its the similarities between the two platforms, right? They're supp...
I hope they learn from this round of screw ups this gen. People weren't looking for JRPG's on the 360. All we could do is shake our heads and laugh though, and now look. PS3 versions of allll those "Xbox exclusive" games are rearing their shameful heads. It'll be interesting to see how the next few years play out in terms of JRPG "exclusivity".
Didn't it sell 200k for 360 as well in the first week? Or overall???
This shows that there may have been 400k potential buyers for the PS3 version when it was released correct?
CG porn. Yowza.
The old Crash Bandicoot commercials were great. I'm surprised none made the cut.
It'll probably wash up on our shores soon enough. It took FF7 a little while to make its way here to NA after being released in Japan.
Valhalla Knights is probably in my top 3 favorite psp games. I play a lot of psp too, so yeah.. 14.99 isn't a bad price for it, it's a really good game.
You talk of little kids stuff, but take a look. What age groups is the wii targeting? THAT's who MS want to hook with natal. Hardcore gamers know that it's not all that practical not to mention a bit uncomfortable.
The bashing is probably a response to the fact that it appears to be a glorified Eyetoy.... I'm not saying that IT IS. But c'mon. The tech HAS been around all along. The mountains of money the Wii has made this gen just kind of..... motivated the other two to improve on it.
EDIT: It only opens up more gaming possibilities though, for gamers on all platforms, so it's not necessarily a bad thing, that's not the message I was trying to convey.
No disrespect to Kojima or anything, but this coming from the mouth of the guy who wants to try westernizing his games. I wouldn't be surprised if he's making an on-rails MGS shooter for Natal, similar to the iPhone MGS game. I say on rails, because moving a character in 3d space, while standing still STILL makes zero sense to me. HOW do you do that? Nearly all games feature 3d space, with characters moving around within it. Natal will be great for racers, wii sports games, and it will be gre...
I think they (Sony) have to sort of ease their new ideas into developers minds. It's not like they are they first to market, making the rules. In some ways they are still playing some catch-up, so they can't be pushy. I wish they were though, we want results! lol..
$9.99 for Broken Steel....
OR
I could get FF7/Tactics for $9.99 each. Games that provide a billion more playtime hours. I swear, they must must not price things according to value.
EDIT: I frickin love Fallout 3 btw, the price of this episode is just a big of a sting, seeing as there are 4 more on the horizon... which means I'll be paying double what I paid for for the actual disc-based game in the end should I choose to purchase them all :(.
Well, it's obvious that reviews should not be done by one particular person when counting towards site scores people refer to for purchases. One fanboy reviewer from a high profile site can hurt the image for an otherwise great game. Regardless of the system the game belongs to, it should never be up to one person's flawed mind to dictate the quality of a game.. ESPECIALLY in this day and age, where videogames rake in TONS of money. It's by no means a small industry. It's a real shame that gr...
I think Natal will achieve more success, simply because it's more gimmicky. Sony will probably implement the wand more practically within games, and achieve a bit of success, and Nintendo doesn't have to do anything, they already made their money. I'm not excited for ANYTHING related to motion controls tbh. Damn Nintendo to hell for putting the scent of cash money gimmicks in Sony and MS's noses.
PS3 has always had a chat room, similar to inviting a party of people into a room and chatting. It has video and audio. Why don't they just make that feature work better (using it ingame). It wouldn't be copying, it would be strengthening a feature they really haven't improved in the longest time. It's not available while playing games, so that sucks. That is what needs to be changed. Keeping the option for video up there would be impressive.
Looks like garbage. I can't put it any other way.
If they bougth EA it wouldn't really be the same EA. They'd pay allll this money for the company, and then once they started choking off IP's to other consoles their revenue would tank. drop to at least 30% from what they normally rake in. Then you have stockholders and whatnot... It'd be a big mess not to mention a big blow to the industry as a whole.
A next/current gen Halo: CE would be aaamaaaaazing.
What's with the disagrees? we got two this year... multiply that by 2, and you've got... 4. Close enough, I'm sure one of those 5 will wind up being an expansion-gone-full-release, yes, if history repeats itself, we'll get 5.
Hoping they take their time with the games is also a bad thing? Are the people disagreeing with me heavily drinking atm???
Anyone notice that the 360 tv spots don't say the price sometimes?
"Now $100.00 off"
I wonder why they avoid saying $299.99. I think you can all figure that one out.
