They do this every year, right before people start buying consoles for the holiday season. I wonder how much of their sales attributes to repurchases during this time of year. It's nice to see that they are fighting off piracy....But why wouldn't they just design to console to be much more difficult to hack? Or introduce it in new motherboard revisions? I hate to say it, but banning people's modded consoles from LIVE only makes them get new consoles. Whether they buy new arcades and get them ...
It's really hard at first if you aren't cautious. But, after you learn to either parry all the attacks, or simply dodge roll after attack animations start (keyword is AFTER, otherwise they lock on and track you, usually landing the hit), it's really not THAT tough. The first 20 soul levels can be difficult though if you get greedy and die before raising your health.
When said phantom hops out of the shadows and jacks your souls, I'm sure you'll rise to the occasion in a bloodthirsty rage and be happy when it's finally dead.
The last area in 5 with Maiden Atrea in (I think that's her name) was probably the most eerie and disturbing fight ever. I've never felt so wrong after clearing a fight since playing SotC... Really wasn't expecting that from DS.
I'm glad I don't have to clear that world on pureblack.....
To save all you guys some breath.
Short answer: Yes.
Not since 2007....
Bad comparison, seeing as they're people in suits, with a long time gap between them. You would think MC would win because of "more advanced tech", but nomad could put up a fight since he has a lot of abilities at his disposal. I think they'd kill eachother.
I'm going to shed a tear the day that I can't ever hold my purchase in my own two hands and say "I own this".
Edit: Is it just me, or does anyone else love the smell of a newly opened game?
Updates are great, man. Chill out.
Without updates, the manufacturers can't add more value to the console you already spent money on.
Think of it like free added functionality. I was pleased with the new Xbox dashboard (not with the mii's though), but hey, the old clunky, framerate destroying dashboard had to go. Better, new UI, free of charge.
The PS3 got a lot of early updates after launch to support new types of audio/video media which I also thought ...
The optional install is a must. I tested out the loading time differences with a friend who had the install (I held off to test the difference), and there was like a 20 second delay on each area's loading times. If you have the space, INSTALL, haha.
NO AZURE, PINK, SILVER---- whaaaaaat? none? Blagh. As long as they have a "Troublesome pair" type quest I guess I'd be happy....I guess...
Yeah I hadn't thought about that. But you know, it would be one hell of a project, and I think Capcom would do it properly if they would be spending next-gen development dollars on it.
I think they could do some amaaaaaazing things with Lao-type quests on a real next gen console, with more emphasis on clever use of artil...
Ok I see what you mean. I've watched stuff through my PS3 web browser for free, but that was only if I didn't want to sit at my pc to watch it.
I'm glad that there are free non-pc alternatives, It's nice to sit on a couch or something and watch whatever than sit in a computer chair (unless you have a recliner :p (which I don't :( ).
Visiting and commenting is more like wading through a cold, dirty pool. Rummaging through trash could describe the experience as well.
Think of it like a balloon convention that you used to love attending--only nowadays, they fill the balloons with sh*t and methane, and pop them immediately after you purchase them.
"Games journalism" has (or is) becoming the information equivalent to supermarket tabloids.
More on topic: 100.00 XBL eh? They coul...
I first encountered it immediately after wc2 released, then most battle.net gamers seemed to be using it whenever possible.
It's kind of funny how this is EDGE. I think you all know what I mean. Perhaps this was their reward for being a good little pup and staying biased--err.. Loyal.
I'm pretty sure all of the fallen ones say his name.
Can't you get the service (or others like it) for your television? Why limit yourself by using it through your xbox, which already requires a LIVE sub fee? Doesn't make much sense really.
I'd kill for a next-gen MH entry.
I had to save my first comment-- to award you with the Foxgod Memorial Trophy.
Here you go, sir.
And btw, Europe and Japan say "hello!"
There's what, 25-27 million PS3's out there, at least 3-5 million are for Blu-Ray I'm sure, and the variety in games this year alone is pretty staggering. Borderlands is most likely NOT a top priority for most PS3 (game) users, well, at least not yet.
Not hating on the game at all, in fact I bought the PS3 version last night. Strange thing was, my Gamestop was all sold out! I grabbed the last copy. Soooo... at least people are buying them where I am. I didn't think the game was ...
