Monster Hunter? Have you done any G-Rank and up? Is Demon's Souls hard like that?
I heard the words "learning from dying" a lot when Demon's Souls is described, is it as unforgiving and nasty as Monster Hunter? Because MH... Is one bastard of a game. In a really, really, really, really good way.
Back in the psx era, games like this came along at least 5 times a year. Amazing games, hard to get your hands on for whatever reason, but so damn good it was worth hunting down. Without a doubt the best generation for me. Too many amazing RPG's... Which brings me back to Demon's Souls... As soon as I order my copy of Koudelka I'm getting Demon's Souls. Hahaha.
The elusive Demon's Souls...
I'm gonna have fun hunting down my copy. It's been a while since I had to do t...
250gb is almost excessive lol.. Why they don't bundle in games with them I'll never know.
I crammed a 160gb in my ps3 immediately after launch, and loaded it with music and videos and it's still got plenty of room left. HDMI cables? PSN gift card? a single piece of software? a DEMO disc? ANYTHING but an oversized hdd.
Judging by the comments here everyone seems to agreeing for the most part. Nice to see.
Haven't picked the game up yet, I was a little worried about it being the best $70.00 rent ever. By the sounds of it, it's totally worth it, and not a rent.
I bet giving up that 9.0 nearly killed them.
Set them 300 feet from the nearest body of water and light them on fire. Seem fair?
A NEW STARTROPICS GAME.
That's what it is, folks.
From unbiased eyes, Killzone 2 is actually quite colorful. The skies are stormy and very very nice to look at, Suljeva Village looks the way a desert should look, the units and vehicles and set pieces are nice, and the second last level (after the nuke) is breathtaking and predominantly reddish/orange, with ashes flying everywhere. Some mentioned above, that the Vekta cruiser was colorful, and yes add that to the list. Visari square has LOTS of colors in there as well. For all the gritty tone...
Gears looked the way it was meant to look, how the designers envisioned it. It's not a question of hardware power or lack of skill. It's Epic, they build/update their own engines that a good portion of the industry uses today. I THINK they would know HOW to add color to their game. As for the tons of blooming and cheap blur effects, those are merely enhancement shortcuts. If a dev can easily implement effects that don't crush the framerate and still have it manage to look good, then what's th...
Unless ME1 is released for PS3 I see no reason to release it on PS3. It's a continuation of the original, no?
I found copies in Toys R Us, but NONE in any Gamestop. Crazyness.
Maybe they should ask 99% of all multiplatform developers what THEIR secret is.
I guess the year head start/sucker punch has finally worn off?
What am I saying? This is vgcharts. we alllll hate vgcharts right?

I agree with everything you said, except final fantasy. Yeah they might be on their 30th Final Fantasy game, but each one is different. The name stays the same, but they try lots of new things for each game. Even the tactics series are different with each game.
(They don't just reduce your shields, change your armor a little bit, and bring back an old gun, and slap a silencer on a pre-existing one)
Can I get 10+ more years of /facepalms?
Yes I can.
I'm really happy Road Rash is on its way back. They better not f*#K this up.
If DMC and GoW all coexisted for years, Dante's Inferno should be able to find its place in there some place..
Mass Effect 1 was pretty shoddy. I love RPG's, but ME1 had me laughing the whole way through. The dialogue, and how it's ALL set up the same, place a head on the 1/3rd line, put a blurry out of focus face in the foreground, then alternate based on who's talking- repeat repeat repeat for like 40 hours. The environments were needlessly HUGE, like, to the point where I wish I had a scooter to get around because the amount of needless walking made me want to scream. The combat was simply stiff wi...
