They slowly replaced working hardware with a warranty? Did I just read that correctly?
The original was a breath of fresh air, and hard as a motherf**ker (I found). It lacked a bit of the fun GTA style antics, but was really enjoyable in its own right. It was also one of the first games I ever heard the F-word freely used within a console game.
Dude I'd kill for a new Twisted Metal game, or a new Coolboarders. As long as it was as close to Coolboarders 2 as possible. I wasn't really feeling the other coolboarders games after 2.
Legend of Dragoon's gonna get a remake petition, you watch. Timing-based RPG combat, with more smoother battle transitions would be oh so silly. My heart would explode from excitement. Simple.
Ohh.. I KNOW about Winback and Kill.switch (try explaining that to rabid Gears fans, they'll never listen when you say those two names). I did say "current gen" as well, but yeah. It didn't invent cover-based gameplay by any means. I just meant like for this gen, was cover-based gameplay THIS awesome before Gears was introduced?
Check out that video below. It looked pretty polished for the time it was created.. Maybe they'll put that cover system in the next Getaway game.
If you guys ever watched the Eight Days footage, and the animations video, you can see that the cover-based animations look second to none. They even outdid Uncharted by the looks of it.
Here's a simple question, but it's kind of been siting on my brain since I saw the videos.. Since Gears is often seen as the cover system pioneer of the current gen, does anyone know if the Eight Days stuff was done before Gears? Like I'm pretty sure that cg demo they showed years back was out be...
For sure, hats off to Naughty Dog. The game really is looking spectacular. It's just a little annoying at this point, with the constant U2 news articles. I mean arguments and fanboys and whatnot are all avoidable, but the news that trickles in isn't (unless I went somewhere else for news, which I've been doing a lot more of lately).
Disagrees on a question? It wasn't even rhetorical. Crazy bunch.
Revival and new/fresh blood?
Maybe it's a reference to the "re-birth" of the console? It's fun to interpret, but I dunno how well it would ring in the minds of the people who condemn anything that's not a spaceman posing with a gun.
62? on the same list that PS3 and Wii have been clogging up recently?
Seriously though.
I think back to last gen and I think "killer app", I think of Black. Although it was multiplatform, it still felt like a killer app TO ME. That's all it is, really. A really subjective word, it means a lot to different people.
Some would say GoW was a PS2 killer app, others would say Fable 1 was one for Xbox, and RE4 or Twilight Princess for Gamecube. While I don't disagree with those games, I do have my own killer apps that I enjoyed mor...
WOAH. Scary thought:

Almost half of these aren't even out yet..
BRB! I can hear my wallet crying!
EDIT: Well, almost a third. I misread!
Yeah I agree with the Slim marketing, it was and is still pretty darn good. Well, good for Sony.. This gen. They used to be a marketing monster when it was just them and Nintendo . Lots and lots of great commercials.
I was actually at a bar last night and I kept noticing the Slim commercials were popping up frequently. Not often do I see that happening.
Ok. I've been seeing article after article after article of Uncharted and it's still low on the heat charts compared to ODST which makes no sense.
But what I was really meaning to say was, I'm getting reeeealllly sick of hearing about this game. Is there any other news aside from Uncharted 2 this and that and Forza3's slow and CONSTANT media leak?
This is almost as bad as the months leading up to Killzone 2. That game actually hit like 200k or something ridiculously ...
Kinda seemed like they beefed up their service a bit, while the games came second. It sort of was the opposite for Sony. Well not really opposite, but just more games-focused. I'm sure MS will rise to the challenge next year with natal and whatever else. Splinter Cell and Reach, pretty sure they drop next year.
THANK you.
Just a harmless question, but have you honestly ever tried other consoles?
Looks like we have some shooters on the list, pretty cool.
Ummm...
"10. [PS3] Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (BEST) (Square Enix)"
Does that make sense, or am I reading that wrong?
NO day is a flame free day around here... *sigh*
The question is easy, just ask yourself the question which console do you play the most of (assuming you own both consoles). There's your answer. If I was going to answer to this silly article (fine, I will), I'd say a "customized" PSP is better than both. Know what I mean? There's a LOT more games to play on it than all the next gen consoles combined. In the palm of your hand. Can't argue with that....
Unles...
Someone's gotta tell him that HE'S the one doing the ripping-off. He should just do a developer's diary or interview, and only talk about GoW as if Dante's Inferno is non-existent. HAHAHA I can see it now...
So, Jonathan, in Dante's inferno, which boss fight were you the MOST excited about?
JK: Well, that's a really tough question, I mean.. The majority of them are truly epic, and also fit well in world of Greek mythology. Hm. I would have to say my favorite is the f...
