FPS ever released on the Wii has hit platinum status, so I think odds are on their side. Especially since most of those fps would be considered mediocre.

Will probably do KZ2 numbers, and if its good with good word of mouth it may surpass KZ in sales.

DSi will probably get more attention from Nintendo, but I think the third parties will be making more noise on the Wii. I could be wrong of course.

But as for Zelda, I don't think its needed right now. I think people hold this idea that "if Nintendo doesn't show off a new Zelda then their E3 sucks" is ridiculous. Also if they do show off a new Zelda the new hater phrase will be "besides Zelda Nintendo doesn't have any games for the hardcore". Not that I care...

With all that I'm sure the haters would still find a reason to hate.

Having played the Conduit at the Comic-Con (still rubbin it in Product lol), I can say that the customizable controls is something that NEEDS to be incorporated in every Wii FPS to come. In a way it is sort of like a mini game all to itself.

People can cry generic all they want, but the bottomline is when you see this game in person you really do have to say o $hit, thats a Wii game? Art Direction isn't no Prime 3, but come on, how many games can stand up to that sort of Art D...

Man, the haters end up validating the article they are trying to dismiss! So, sad.

But I think diverse gameplay elements would be ideal. I mean OoT incorporated some FP elements, shooting arrows, hookshot. But I remember Miyamoto saying there was a reason for OoT not going Fp. I think for the sword fights if WM+ is included they could do what they did for punchout and make the character transparent. Honestly the possibilities are endless, and Nintendo's track record leads me to trust them with what they have planned.

Of the worst financial situation since who knows when, and the WIi still outsells competitors combined most weeks and months out of the year..what do you think.

Me of when the Snes got Donkey Kong country, and even though the SNES couldn't compete graphically with the Ps1 and Saturns people were impressed because it pulled off visuals that were thought couldn't be done on the hardware, and Rare was given props.

The reason I always put "hardcore" in quotations is to illustrate just how broad a term that is, and in essence the definition is subjective and not universally shared.

The one thing I don't get and probably never will is this idea that NIntendo "used to be this but now its that" it's bogus, they have been doing the same things they did for the past two gens, just better. You are correct that their current crop of games have surpassed their previous incarnat...

All the people that complained about their E3 last year, guess what? Nintendo still had an incredible record breaking year. Why do they need to cater to a shrinking demographic exclusively? I feel naysayers needed something to complain about from Nintendo and they used Dunaway as a scapegoat for their hate. The presentation wasn't mindblowing like 2006 but E3 in general was weak, it was a shell of its former self for ALL.

Nintendo is in the drivers seat. I remember during the N...

This and That new Contra shows 2-d gaming still has its advantages over 3-d.

Do you Ps3 guys want to wait for Dengeki next? See what their numbers show?

Honestly, the double talk from you folks is ridiculous. But even more ridiculous is the tremendous amount of attention given to sales numbers week in and week out. Are the games so boring that the only thing that excites you is a piece of plastic surrounding a computer chip is outselling another piece of plastic? What happened to enjoying videogames?

Now it seems everything is a pissing ...

“I think the introduction of the DSi just captured a lot of folks’ attention for the month. While the Wii was down, it still sold a lot of units 30 months after its release. By comparison, in April ‘03 when the PS2 was 30 months in the market, it sold 264K units and had an install base of 17.5 million - and I think we’d all call the PS2 a major success. The Wii install base is now at 20 million. Also keep in mind that last year the introduction of Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart were b...

Anything IGN Nintendo says about Nintendo and E3. I'll wait for Malstrom's prediction, he was spot on with the October conference and GDC.
