Will be vindicated in its effect it has had on FPS controls on the Wii. This can't be stressed enough. The customizable settings were such a nice touch that now any FPS on the Wii that doesn't include this feature will feel gimped..We won't even begin to talk about daul analogue...
Suuure, just look at the title of this news bit, unreal.
This time, it seems Wii IS in competition with the HD twins? Come on guys make up your mind already!
Game, period.
Well screens don't really do Wii games any justice, BUT, MWii better have a solid 60fps frame rate if its gonna look like that lol.
The company most vulnerable to this new price point is Sony. If this doesn't create a sizeable increase in interest in the PS3, what is SOny's next move? Cut the price AGAIN?
I remember when Gamecube cut its price to 99$ it boosted sales short term, but it failed to have any longevity. We will have to see which way the PS3 blows.
Nintendo is shaking in their boots. (sarcasm)
Also, when did PS3 owners have interest in motion controls? It was a gimmick and a fad, remember?
Sony fans are getting desperate aren't they? Trying to call this game a flop? Seriously?
Here's some context for you; No console third party game has ever shipped or sold amillion in Japan, until MH3. PS3 has NO million sellers in Japan at all.
That means SF4,RE5,MGS4 have all been outsold by MH3. So are you prepared to call all those games flops in Japan? I doubt it. Remember the drop off the following week for MGS4? sold like 470; week one and like 50k the next...
Sega handled the questions very eloquently.
Damned interview was slanted, Product, in my view. Also Sega never said Madworld was a flop just that they were disappointed I'm sure it was profitable, Sega probably just expected more.
Twilight Princess is a GameCube game as far as I'm concerned..and a damned good one. Though on Wii Twilight Princess illustrated how seamless IR control will be for the next Wii installment.
And with Motion + I'm very excited at the possibilites.
So much is wrong with your last post Chris, but unlike Evil, I'm not even going to touch it..mainly because Evil pretty much was spot on with what I would have said any way lol.
Are you kidding me? Dev costs are not and will never be comparable between HD consoles and Wii that's laughable and totally wrong, it just is what it is man.
But, hey go along living in fantasy land, it can be fun for a little while, right?
If you don't see what the Wii h...
That in the same way you don't care about Zelda or Mario, Someone else won't give a damn about a cinematic cheesy scripted movie like MGS4?
And no, gaming PC's and HD consoles are not in the same league, sorry.
I didn't expect IGN was able to write intelligently and competently when discussing gaming anymore.
I may have to start visiting them again. Well written editorial.
This and Wave Race 64 two unique racing games that were just breath taking.
Other M has A LOT to live up to.
All I am saying is that established franchises are all that sells on HD consoles as well, why you feel the need to disregard Wii sales due to "established" franchises but not do the same with the HD consoles are beyond me.
I am against the segmentation of gamers into this demographic or that demographic, I am not defending the Wii just providing a voice for another perspective which is underserved around here, but no less valid..if I do say so myself MORE valid lol.
...
The audience Wii captured is whimsical?
But here's the funny thing, the money isn't in the "hardcore" demographic, why should Nintendo cater to an audience that left during the N64 and Cube days? Seems to me they've been better off with out that crowd lol.
But seriously, the sooner devs get rid of silly demographics talk the better off they will be. Wii is a video game system, Nintendo's job with the Wii is to get it into as many homes as possible, 3rd...
Whether you know it or not you are proving the point of this guys article. Wii is largely in the same boat as the PS2 was in that devs recoup dev costs on a majority of their games even if they aren't clearing 500k.
No matter how you slice it Wii dev costs are 1/3-1/4 lower than the HD consoles and by the end of the year will probably have a larger installed base than both combined WW. MH3 seems to also contradict your reasoning, I'm sure DQX will as well.
You ca...
Fair enough, twin, no more sense talking allowed! ;)
I'd like to see this game in motion to get a better idea of the overall presentation and package..But it is creeping up my list of buys for this holiday season.
