All the talk about a Wii HD. Not having HD hasn't stopped the Wii from becoming the most successful console this gen. What would HD graphics do to enhance games like Kart, or Wii Sports, or Brawl, or Galaxy.
Graphics are meaningless if the content isn't there.
You want to talk dipping in the same well, look no further than music games, sports games and CoD. I don't think I've bought a madden game since 08 on Wii, and I'd sell it back if they'd give me more than 2.50$ for it. What am I going to buy with that? a PowerAde?
I had W@W for Wii and it was ok, but Conduit online blew it away.
I don't care at all about music games, they just aren't my thing. But I mean Activision must really be trying to destroy these 'franchis...

I find it odd as well, Galaxy 2 was sort of shocking as I'd rather see Nintendo visit other stellar franchises, but is Nintendo and Activision are the only ones guilty of this? Uncharted 2, Gears 2, 2nd Ratchet game, another Onrails RE, Lost Planet 2..I really could go on.
Seems gaming is following Hollywood's lead...Not so sure that's the right path to follow.
Don't let me deter you from experiencing Twilight Princess. It's an excellent game no matter what platform you play it on. Wii version has a few things going in its favor such as display and motion controls. Certain aspects are done better on the Wii simple as that.
I hadn't gotten a Wii yet when TP was out. Also, the Cube needed its swan song.
Twilight Princess on Gamecube because quite frankly, it's a gamecube game. A wonderful Swan Song for the system. I'm looking at the ground up Wii Zelda as the first real Zelda entry for this generation. Twilight Princess was a wonderful game, a love letter to the Zelda/Nintendo fan. It didn't bring much new to the table but it was quite enjoyable and I get the itch to play every now and again.

What a cop out argument, what a WEAK argument. The game is decent, it has addicting fps online mp which Wii has lacked throughout this gen and is revolutionary in it's control customization which is now a standard among forthcoming Wii shooters (Red Steel 2, COD4, Grinder). The sales are fine as well. Thank Goodness on Wii you can sell modest numbers and not go bankrupt.
What fantasy world do you live in? FF is not bigger than Pokemon, not in Japan or any where else.

If the Wii bubble burst, the HD consoles must not have even had bubbles blown..Seeing as how Wii is still outselling both HD systems on a weekly basis and has a 25m console lead atm...and is the only console company profitable this gen..and not just profitable MASSIVELY profitable.
I agree completely, there is a complete disconnect between main stream game 'journalists' and the main stream consumer. Which is why generally I take what IGN, Gamespot, and the like with a grain of salt. Read reader reviews, I feel they give a better grasp and opinion on games.
@Evil: If Other M is anything like Super Metroid then it just might end up being game of the generation...IMO, with only The Wii Zelda having the potential to outdo it..which would be a tall order even ...
But did Killzone 2 suck? This game looks as though the whole process has nothing to do with the first one. Motion Plus is a requirement and Ubisoft has had enough experience (I believe) to make this an enjoyable experience.
I never played the Red Steel 1 so I don't have an opinion of it either way. Did it suck? maybe. Did it not suck? Maybe. Do I care? Nope. Because Red Steel 2 looks pretty bad ass and I'm looking forward to it.
As they use this engine to build ground up quality experiences for the Wii I'm all for it. But if it's just doing the Activision thing of shoddy ports of HD games...well we'll see how that turns out.
Then I'm sold. Because that games online was crack for a while.
