To put it in perspective, in 3 weeks this game has outsold all the best selling PS3 games in Japan.
Absolutely laughable.
Funnier still is that all the Wii games on that list are exclusive, the only HD exclusive on that list is Halo 3. Wii didn't receive the GTA4's or MW's the big franchises have all missed Wii releases. We'll see what happens when MH3 and DQX hit Japan, if those don't sell then you may have a point.
Also look at the expense those games have acued anytime a video game costs as much as a Harry Potter movie, something is wrong.
Though I agree with TrollSlayer's post and especially his first sentence. Already High dev costs and the prospect of them rising further is a bigger threat to gaming than any "casual gamer." In fact it is the casual gamer that has repeatedly bailed out this 'industry' time and time again.
Also, that number for Motion Plus is only for stand alone units. If you include the M+ bundled with Tiger 10 its over 360k in one month, which is more than not just the PS3, but 360 as well.

Nintendo's competition would love to have Nintendo's declining like sales. The next question to ask is what is with 360's stagnated sales and PS3's declining sales as well would it have anything to do with summertime's historical trend of being a rather slow time for videogame sales? Or the continuing economical conditions in the states? Or maybe the software lineup not being as strong thus far this year as the previous one?

So true. But even Madworld has outsold Godhand. Also my situation was similar the game was available the 24th in my area. Also galaxy was called a flop in Japan also, even though its also a million seller there, a feat NO PS3 game has been able to accomplish in its homeland. My understanding is it has sold closer to 8m.
But whatever, some folks just want to live in fantasy land. So be it.

Yeah, but don't say that too loud about NMH people still call that a flop, regardless of the facts surrounding the game, I mean we are getting a sequel in 7 months or so.
Pac: Actually, I've never played BC, I should have made that clear that I was mostly describing how flops on other systems are never blamed on the systems themselves and instead is said to be a bad or average game, but on Wii if a game fails its the systems fault, double standard is all.

The game is good and Multiplayer is great, but the game is not a 9. And HELL NO is it as good as prime, it is not even in the same league as that series.
And this is coming from someone who just got off online nailing shotgun headshots. Again, the game is good and quite enjoyable but the Prime series was just serious..especially the first one and the 3rd one..whew. Talk about immersion.

But I can garauntee the anonymous editorials will start appearing to once again talk about how hardcore games can't sell on Wii, even though the same annonymous folks were giving the game 3/5's and 2/5's and even 1/5's. So apparently the game sucks but its the Wii's fault the game doesn't sell.
Meanwhile Bionic Commando which flopped hard didn't sell because the game was crap, it doesn't prove that games like that don't sel...
