A missed Opportunity, however, after reading Sony's financials for the quarter and knowing how expensive it is to even afford an ad for the big game, I'm not surprised Sony was mia. Oh well.
in any case...GO GIANTS!
To Basics...Just Nintendo Entertainment System.
Nothing of Wii U yet. Hell that might not even be the final name (let's hope not).
But if there were ever a console that caused a revolution in console generations look no further than the Wii. In an age where HD was thought to be the end all be all, an SD console managed to become the runaway success and made the question of graphical importance seem secondary to the complete package of a game.
They are far too reliant on third parties which are only as loyal as their walets. Which has put more preassure on Sony and their first/second parties to differentiate thei console from the competitions.
Have died, or been replaced, and some purists may cry fouls. But series' evolve and every products goal is to become mainstream, one way or another. The consumers talk, and RE will change direction again as tastes change. Otherwise the series will die.
I loved the REmake on Gamecube and also loved RE4. The first game in the series I played was RE2 and loved that game as well.
As long as the game is good I'm down. But the 'survival horror'...
Personally don't think Nintendo is history, I do think that recent decisions have been damaging the company which is shown in the finacial reports. Again, all this shows is that like any other company, success is not garaunteed, it is earned.
Better to take their lickings now when competition isn't stiff. Focusing on 3D output instead of software early on in the 3DS' life was very stupid. Tech doesn't sell gaming systems, games do. Just look at Vita.
Because the game was as lame as its 'timeless' artsyle. Puhlease.
Just keep the games visuals like the demo showed at E3 last year that's a start. Secondly cut the fluff out of Zelda and focus more on combat, growth, and exploration.
While I couldn't careless about Vita, Just because something is performing more poorly than you doesn't mean you aren't doing poorly yourself lol. The benchmark for 3DS isn't Vita, its the DS.
Let this be a reminder to anyone that no company is infallable. The losses are a result of bad decision making. You can blame exchange rates to a degree but not to the extent of claiming all is right in Nintendo Land.
Abandoning Wii too early, Releasing 3DS with no killer apps in the time frame most precarious for any new gaming device, which forced them to slash the price 80$ is a huge reason why this has happened.
They say they've learned their less...
Toon Link was garbage. I can't believe how much 'praise' WW gets around here. The moment the spaceworld trailer for WW released the backlash from fans was incredible. Unlike anything before. There were online petitions begging Nintendo to change it.
Since then, Toon Link has been limited to Handheld Zelda's.
Everyone who claims to hate Nintendo this gen just loved them last gen. The Cube was a huge failure, selling less than MS first Xbox WW. Metroid Prime was one of the very FEW top tier games which can be considered classics now. Along with maybe RE4, and the best version of SC2. But overall the Cube was home to some of the worst iterations of Nintendo's staple franchises ever. Sunshine? WW was crap, Double Dash? Garbage. Cube was incredibly forgettable. Its no wonder it sold only 20million...
3DS cost the same as Vita did at launch. And while the massive price cut help the 3DS it was the arrival of appealing software that changed the 3DS' fortunes. Vita still has a weak library and will continue to have weak sales until that changes.
You buy video game systems to play games. That is the bottom line.
I certainly hope so.
At this point it is entirely too early to tell. And predictions one way or the other hold as much weight as a tic on a dog.
I think after this years E3 is all said and done, then we will be able to have a clearer perspective of where the Wii U will go.
Honestly, it will always come down to the software. That remains as true today as ever before. If Wii U has the right software it will succeed.
Think OoT is and remains the best Zelda game. At the very least the best 3d Zelda game. I would compare Alttp-OoT as having a similar relationship to Super Metroid-Metroid Prime. Both games remain as true to their 2D roots as possible, because they had nothing else to build upon.
Sprites or polygons are as meaningless as resolution. Games of the NES/SNES era not only hold their own against modern games, some classic games whipe the floor with the modern games. Its not just ...
Was crap. That game didn't get anything right from my perspective. How many times must I say what my problem is with SS? Too restricting, too much fluff, to much text.
The only NPC you talked to in the older games was some troll telling you to "buy something will ya?" "Or master using it and its yours" Or the potion woman. Or "it's dangerous to go alone". In Skyward Sword the text is outrageously long with no way skip it if you don'...
Look at the moblins you fight, slow to attack and the way they defend is basically a roll of the dice. They wonkily go from defending different slash attacks and makes every battle the same.
Doing boss battle in hero mode was the only realy challenege to the game.
Yes, because in the 25 years Zelda has gone from the prestige of an elite series to Skyward Sword. And to be quite honest The last 10 years, Zelda has basically just been living off the legacy o...
This title should have taken 5 years to develop. That is comepletely outrageous. Secondly, This game is literally packed to the brim with nonsense.
The combat is basically you playing rock paper scissors, some things are done right, cheifly the controls. But They don't give you enough content to actually put your skills to the test. Hero Mode is a step in the right direction though.
People may feel I am being harsh on the game...good. I don't have...
Wave Race. That game was amazing on N64. possibly the best racing game on that system along with Mk64.
I'd also like a Zelda game in the vein of the NES/SNES fashion. Top Down. With great art direction.
I'd like a true Super Metroid sequel...Not other M.
