This announcement has done is expose the bias, immature fanboys for who and what they are.
Actually quite dope. The first comment is moronic btw.
Than an Uncharted right? But I don't hear your whining about that...
Console of choice. One of Nintendo's best consoles ever. Wii sports was a revolutionary piece of software, with broad appeal crossing genders and age. It wasn't perfect by any means. No console has been...save for maybe the nes/snes. But it was solid. It reminds us that console gaming has always been distinctive from pc gaming. The Wii era was Nintendo attempting to reconnect with their roots. At least until 2009-10.
Other games like xenoblade and last story have pot...
Gaming media has this unhealthy yearning for apple and Nintendo to be in this sort of battleground state. Meanwhile in the real world, Nintendo's pres has an iPhone lol. I doubt sony's president has an iPhone.
In fact I'd wager apple is in more direct comp with m$ and Sony moreso than with Nintendo. Totally different spheres.
Then perhaps he should look into Wonderbook. Might be more his speed ; )
Good to see you Scissor.
Do not want another skyward sword art style. I want the damn game to look like that demo. Less talk more action.
I definitely hope so. This would be my personal killer app. As long as its more like the 64 version and not the cube one.
Is good. Hype usually kills. 3DS had hype, PS3 had Hype, even Vita had hype. The results? Not so good. Its hard if not impossible to live up to the hype.
The consoles that fly under the radar usually dominate, PS, DS, Wii. The games did the talking, not the specs.
And honestly, we can all speculate and predict, but at the end of the day, it all comes down to the software. Nothing more, nothing less. If Wii U produces the right software they will succeed....
Are the last of a bygone era. Survived where others have perished. Gaming is all they do, so there is always more at stake for them.
They have made some mistakes, along the way, we will see what comes of the Wii U. But the fact is console gaming as we know it is in large part thanks to their contribution. Not solely, but predominantly I believe.
(And Hardcore gamers ftm) One of the gross myths this past gen bestowed upon the weak minded.
Wouldn't be surprised. Wii was the most expensive home console Nintendo ever released at 250$in 2006. The economy hadn't fallen off a cliff yet, but understand that econmic conditions are different today, and would greatly favor a console releasing at this pricepoint of 200$.
Also tech improves at such a fast, and Nintendo has for the most part been rather conservative with their pricing and aims for affordability..We'll see.
We only have to w...
I know, its incredible what a company name on a piece of plastic can influence such strong emotions.
History at its finest. Wii Sold not too to a gimmick or price. But accessibility and broad appealing software any one could understand due to the simplicity of the WiiMote. Remember Wii's being soldout and being sold on Ebay for more $ than the price of a PS3?!
The PS3's price was a barrier, sure, but what launch game did PS3 have? Resistance I think and Heavenly Sword? Consumers didn't think those kinds of games were worth the price of admission.
Do you think of the Vita/PS3 cross play shoehorned into LBP? Is that a gimmick? Or is that innovative?
But just answer me this.."buying the same few Nintendo games every couple of years" can't you just interchange any company name and get the same conclusion?
"Just buy the same few Sony games every couple of years"
"Just buy the same few M$ games every couple of years"
If you try to come up with some lame reason why you can't say this, then I'd assume you fall under that all encompassing adjectiv...
Argue that the gamers actually wanting bleeding edge tech are a minority. Those that have made up their minds on yet to be released consoles seems bizarre.
This dev seems to have voiced my exact sentiments however. And I'm rather surprised how this 'spec' talk has gone viral. I personally feel it's just fanboys trying to knock a Nintendo system.
Console gaming has always just been about the software, nothing else. The most powerful console...
Be honest, do you even care Divine? Its not like Wii U is something you are interested in other than to throw shi* in the game on a Nintendo news post.
You are obviously more interested in Vita and its amazing library of games, so why not buy a couple more..Sony damn sure could use your help.
No wonder you have so many bubbles. lol.
Exactly, Mario is a 25 year old franchise and spread between two gens Wii-Wii U There has been 4 2d Mario games. Uncharted a 5yr old franchise? Already has 4 Games out lol.
Do I care? No. People enjoy Uncharted and look forward to the next game? Cool.
But the double standard is hypocritical because the same rule applies to Mario Bros. People love the games and want more. What's wrong about that?
