If it's got Sackboy... it's good. ;)
Regardless of whether this is real or fake, I like the layout a lot better. It looks like it takes proper advantage of the space offered, and it may be a bit easier to navigate. Only time will tell.
I recently had to exchange my 80GB PS3 and got a temporary 40GB. What did I miss the most? Motorstorm. Instead, I got the Blu-ray edition of Spiderman 3. Lame.
So now I'm really anxious to try out Motorstorm 2... in lieu of my lost Motorstorm original.
Let me add that I'm the proud owner of a PS3. My only current-gen console, so I'm not pounding on this article just because I don't like the news.
You know what? I'm sick of these articles about who outsold whom. I'm a gamer. I'm the consumer. I don't care. These numbers don't effect me at all. I didn't make more money, Sony did, or MS did, or NES did.
...it's ammunition for flame wars about the perceived victory of one console over another. It's fueling these arguments, and it's tired.
I know that's not going to stop these articles from appearing, but if we can change just a few votes of approval, perhaps...
Sweet!
This is going to be a great way to meet other gamers. Sadly, most of my friends are 360 owners. I'm trying hard to convert them (and it's slowly working) but for now, I have few PS3 friends. I can see this as a great tool to network with people and meet up with others who may share similar interests in gaming.
That's the biggest use I see for Home. It will be a fun place to decorate with trophies and furniture and to launch parties of gamers into their ga...
I haven't seen it before. This was my first exposure (beyond screenshots) of Wipeout HD and I'm pleasantly surprised... I may have to consider picking this up now and rejoining the anti-gravity racing league. :)
I think the PS3 has the edge into the summer, with the Blu-ray advantage, and given GT5 and the new MGS4 bundle (as well as the game release itself). I do agree, however, that Gears will move a lot of 360's. No doubt of that.
Yeah, I'm not sure where that's coming from either. Heavenly Sword is one of the best action games I've ever played. Great characters, good diverse gameplay, entertaining cut scenes, good use of the SIXAXIS, good graphics. This was one game that helped sell me on the PS3. It's not perfect - but it's highly ranked in my book.
I won't downplay either of these games - they're both good. I'm more intrigued by the Mafia world, however. I'll buy Mafia 2. I may rent GTA4.
I loved Mafia - it kept my attention much longer than GTA ever did. I appreciated the cars and the atmosphere more than I did in any of the GTA games, with the exception (maybe) of Vice City.
I'm not sure - but they look real to me.
Also - I think she's gorgeous. She definitely looks better with dark hair than with blonde hair (IMO) and the fact that she ain't skin and bones is very appealing to me. Go Gemma!
Ratchet & Clank: Future is a really underrated game in my opinion. That's likely due to the subject matter, which would typically appeal to kids before older gamers - but I'm a more mature gamer, and I really appreciated that game. Fantastic work.
I think Resistance 2 will do extremely well, and once Insomniac nails down a third successful IP, they'll really create a name for themselves as one of the big "next-gen" devs.
From what I can gather, you record to the PS3 drive, and you can then copy it from there to an external drive, a USB stick, or a network drive. I'm not sure how Freeview differs from what we have here though, so I'm wondering how long it'll take PlayTV to be NA ready.
Here's the truth of the matter, excluding the Wii. The Xbox 360 is winning in North America right now, but the PS3 is winning in the rest of the world. That's because North America likes it's first person shooters, and the 360 has two of the best and most popular as exclusives (Gears and Halo) in that genre. In the end, the PS3 will have a more diverse range of games and more media capability, with a greater longevity thanks to it's Blu-ray and PlayTV forethought.
Each will have ...
This seems to have shut down all the skeptics who believe that thanks to the death of HD-DVD, Blu-ray players and discs would remain pricey due to a lack of competition.
You guys were wrong.
Let us hope that with the new interface (WOO!) comes some better quality and quantity content (WOOHOO!).
This happens a lot. Stuffing the box with another item, or stealing it flat out and leaving the box empty - is common place. I think a lot of it happens from the employees, because on exchanges they check everything to make sure it's in there. Typically the manufacturer won't help them and neither will the retailer...
...stuck, and it must suck ass. Moral of the story - always check the box before you leave the store.
Discontinuation != Shortages
For me it was three things.
1) Extra USB ports. I like to use the add-on fans for cooling, and still have spots for a USB key and ultimately, PlayTV.
2) Backwards compatibility. I don't own a PS2, and never have - but there are a ton of games in that back catalog I'd love to play.
3) Motorstorm. I actually wanted to play it, and had no interest in Spiderman on Blu-ray. $60 game I want versus $30 movie I don't.
Unfortunately, the Blu-ray dri...
Seriously? You can't have more than 50 friends? I mean, I'm nowhere near that amount. Not too many people I know own PS3's... but I expect to start adding a few more when Home comes out.
...I hope. :(
