No, here's the proper analogy (from a man's perspective).

The 360's are supermodels. They don't have a lot of personality, but they're smokin' hot and every guy wants one. Still - many of them end up with crack addictions and bulimia, and they just fade out well before their time.

The PS3's are the girl next door. They've got way more personality, and they're cute. Sure they're a little more difficult to get into the sack, but when you do - you're in for a ride. :)

Yup... it's the PS3 army on this site that wants to find reasons to dismiss GeOW2. I'm a PS3 owner, not a 360 owner, but I'm big enough to admit that GeOW2 looks hot and will likely be a great game, and I'd love to own it on the PS3.

Luckily I'll get to own it on the PC. Thats the nice part about 360 "exclusives". :)

I'm not sure what's happened to these images, but I'd be very, very surprised if that was indicative of the gameplay.

Seriously? We're going to debate over a comment made by Yahtzee? He's a comic game reviewer. I think he's poking about as much fun at white people who own all three consoles as he was illustrating that many people who aren't white, who are typically underpaid and undervalued, very honestly cannot afford all three. It's a legitimate statement, but when you brand it and make those sorts of divisions by color all of a sudden everyone gets uncomfortable.

...chill.

It's strange. I have one of the newer 40GB models and I had it freeze the very first time I played... but it hasn't done it since. Occasionally it has given me three little beeps upon exit, but otherwise I've been okay. So I've experienced it, I know it exists, but it hasn't plagued me. Odd.

I agree about the tab option. Something maybe that comes out and overlays the regular features on the right side when activated. I like having that info handy, but it's something I actively go looking for at certain times rather than needing to have instantly accessible.

Don't forget Metal Gear!

Yeah that was weird. Well, they still have nine months to iron that out. In my experience with beta versions of games, sometimes the biggest and most obvious bugs aren't fixed (though they are aware of them) until weeks or days before shipping the game.

Not being a developer, I have no idea why that is - but I've seen it enough to speculate there must be a reason.

Fantastic looking stuff. Great video. It looks like a sci-fi Call Of Duty... and that's not a bad thing.

@1.5 You nailed it - the textures and lighting effects look staggering. It's tough to make a call on level design or gameplay without actually, well - playing it... but the visuals shown here are simply stunning, and that's a low rez cam.

That's what's so great about it! It's so cute, yet so clever, and I think that's what will make it sell.

It'll be one of those games, a bit like Katamari, which is eagerly anticipated by a handful of gamers in-the-know, and through word of mouth it will slowly build mass appeal. I can't wait.

Anyone have a direct link to the video? Appears that Websense has axed it for me.

UPDATE: Nevermind. Here it is.

Good they are patching - that freezing bug hit me a couple times, so I can't imagine what it would be like to experience it non-stop.

As for the driving - what is the problem? Driving is easy - unless you try and take the turns with the trigger pulled all the way back giving it full gas.

I don't understand all the bellyaching around driving in GTA IV.

It's not a classic, but it is fairly solid. It's a better FPS than most I've seen. I really like the yellow, and the design of the weapons and armor. I'll be anxious to try the multiplayer. Whether or not I purchase the game will depend on how good that aspect is.

The first year - yes... it was disappointing. Despite that disappointment, Playstation faithfuls knew it was going to get better thanks to the solid and powerful system behind it... and indeed it has. I've got four games on the go right now and each is fantastic. Three of those four are exclusives. Any more and I'd need to take time off work... and 2008 isn't even half over yet.

The only thing I want to play on the 360 in 2008 is Gears Of War 2... and even that has my limited en...

Meh, 4 out of 10 is too low. Played the demo tonight, and I can't imagine anyone giving it less than a 6 as the lowest score. My personal feeling is it's a 7. I like the design of the game. The guns, the vehicles, and the yellow color is great. I like the Nectar idea, and the graphics aren't terrible.

For those that love FPS games, this is likely a must have. Not a classic, but it seems fairly solid.

I'm glad they'll be coming out slightly separated from one another. KZ2 looks more sci-fi, with vehicles and an emphasis on dirty post-apocalyptic sci-fi technology. It's a bleak, grey world that smacks of squad based action. R2 looks more story oriented, with the emphasis on your lone adventure.

Both will have multiplayer differences that will make one appeal to you more than the other, but they both look like fantastic fun online. I for one can't wait to see, and play, both ga...

That's eight months of outselling, which is impressive, and is a fact that certainly should be covered better by North American gaming media, who seem to ignore stats like these.

We knew this was going to happen, even though some of us were holding on to the idea that it would make it out in late 2008. As long as it's polished and kicks ass... I can wait a few extra months.

Here's a game I just can't wait to play, and I come from a tradition of hardcore FPS and action gaming. This just looks like hours of fun, whether your playing alone, online, or with friends... and I'm really excited to try it out.

All depends on how you work, right? Typically, however, as an artist you start with the interior facial features like eyes, nose, mouth etc. Those features will dictate the shape of the face. Trying to squeeze features onto an existing face is often awkward.
