Fitting, seeing as the first game was compared to Indiana Jones in many ways, whose second installment also took place in India.
I can't imagine someone buying a $400 console for Home. It's a neat feature, but it's a bonus. You buy the PS3 for the games and the media capabilities. Home is an add-on to that, and sweetens the pot a little. That's all.
I can appreciate them wanting to lump this stuff together for one weekly update. Still, if the competition is using the piecemeal approach, so should you, otherwise you're going to be behind. Plus, having surprise updates waiting for you when you get home from work would be sweet.
Despite the fact that I think about Spiderman every time I look at it (and I dislike those movies) I really like the PS3 logo. The typography is sweet.
...and though I'm a PS3 fanboy, I'll give it props - the Xbox 360 logo is sweet as hell too.
Nice price for GT5. I'm not a huge racing fan, so I may rent it first... but I'll definitely buy it from the PS store if I do in fact decide to buy it.
...also interested in that Warhawk Booster pack, though I hate paying for add-on maps and vehicles.
I'm cautious of the statement. It feels like they're saying the slow loading is due to the high traffic, which will go away in a few days. Everyone wants to see the store right now, because it's new. Makes sense.
...but what happens during that day of the week when new stuff is released, and everyone jumps into the store again? More high traffic? More slow loading images?
I just hope they address it, and don't chalk it up to something that will "go away" w...
Yeah the images (both icons and featured items) seem to have a hard time handling the heavy load. When I updated the firmware this morning the store behaved fine... very fast all around. That was likely during a time of day when there is light usage, because this evening it's grinding away when trying to load those images.
I can't necessarily complain. This is something they'll need to address, and so I'm sure they will. Otherwise, I love the new store design.
WOOT!
Cannot wait.
Sackboy me.
BC yes. 65nm... not sure. I don't think that's been discussed. I also wonder if it has the improved BD-ROM drive.
I don't think that's been confirmed. I'd doubt it. As for transferring - yeah a USB stick will do it, but it has to be big enough to store all your saved game data, themes, and some other account info. 8GB may do it, if you can pare that stuff down.
I exchanged my 80GB for a 40GB from Best Buy a few months ago and made them promise me the ability to trade in again when they receive some new 80GB units... which will be these ones. Can't WAIT! Already bought one DS3 controller and this will be my second.
Wouldn't SIXAXIS be a little futile on the PSP if you have to tilt the whole thing? You wouldn't be able to see the screen while tilting!
Me too! I'm not quite sure why... I'm a little hazy on the exact premise and purpose of the game, but the running around just looks like fun!
Graphically, Mafia 2 holds the edge. I also like the style of that era, it works well for this type of game. May not be quite as sweeping and fully realized a game as GTAIV though. We'll have to wait and see.
Yeah apparently they took it down. Odd - and frustrating. I got excited for nothing... and now I'm disappointed. :(
EDIT: Not disappointed any more. Thanks dude!
That does look pretty sick. I'm really doubting that's gameplay quality graphics... because it's SO damn slick. Still, it has me excited.
Nope... I'm having the same problem. I can't find it anywhere at that link.
GIVE ME TRAILER
It's real, but it's a custom mod job, so you can't buy one. This guy Heck has done the same thing with the Wii and the 360... as well as a whole ton of over hacks. You can find out more at Wiki.

I'm sure DD is going to take off... one day. I'm sticking with my belief that Blu-ray is in no fear of disappearing thanks to DD however. Perhaps if another format can seriously challenge it, but I think it's well enough entrenched that it's not going away any time soon.
...and when it does, we'll have a reasonable DD model, because by that time, we'll all be running FiOS (or faster) connections which are able to make DD a convenience and therefore, a reality.
Thanks for that embedded video. My IE6 at work didn't like that page at all.
If someone sold those rubberized concave triggers for < $5 then I would buy a couple of sets. I'm not spending $10 on the triggers + ugly armor that won't do anything but possibly get in the way.
