People already complain about the battery life of the switch..... To shove ps4 specs in something switch size would give it an even shorter life span.

Well, a dev can program for whatever console they want. Maybe there's an exclusivity deal in place. Maybe they're a very small team. Maybe they can only afford 1 dev unit. The maybe list can go on forever.
It doesn't make them lazy at all. They are doing all they can to make the game they want. If people don't like it because it's not on their console of choice (or they only own a single console) then too bad.

The last panzer like game was Crimson Dragon for the Xbox 1, which had members of Team Andromeda (The team behind panzer) work on it....
Would love a Panzer Dragoon Saga remaster though. had to sell off my copy a few years back...
Also, small "print" runs of games means the publisher is paying more per game card. Puyo Puyo Tetris is a good example as it's supposed to be a small print run.
Now what Grey Box is doing is something EVERY publisher should do.... have the digital version of a game cost less than the physical.
I love (not really) how everyone mentions creating a new japanese account, but no one mentions just logging into the nintendo website and changing your current region to Japan (or whatever region you want) and back again when you are done.
You will have to unlink your older Nintendo ID account, and relink it after, but that's a non-issue.
The ONLY downside to this method is if you have credit on your Nintendo account, you will have to spend it beforeh...
Maybe a variant that came with a pro controller instead of the joy-cons for the same $300 USD would have been a nice option. maybe toss in a Virtual console game download as well.... if they had the virtual console up. I don't see them including a full-price game until the holiday season at the earliest, and even then maybe now. The rumored Mario Kart bundle doesn't seem to exist outside of russia.... and the price (roughly $440 USD) is higher that most places.
The real issue here is that your family friends expected you to have more than 2 controllers....
So many of these lists going around, and every one of them is more of a wish list.
I'll wait for someone to actually make a large scale poll to see what people actually want.
This would be nice IF we get a few modern fighters. The 90's era fighters that are either coming (USF2) or already here (ACA Neo-Geo titles) I have already mastered with a D-Pad (and I own a few on the Neo Geo MVS)
Considering the game is massive compared to the previous entries AND the 1st chumk of DLC doesn't land until "summer" it seems like it it wasn't so much pulled from the game as it was something they wanted to add, but could due to time constraints. If it were pulled from the game and already complete, then there would be no reason to hold on to it for so long.
Granted, that is my opinion....
Considering so many people missed so many great games since they didn't bother with a Wii U, Wii U ports do sound like a good idea....
So give the unit 2 discreet GPUs? You'd be looking at a REALLY expensive system then....
I knew about amazon, which is why I plan to grab mario kart 8 this week :) Kinda broke last week.
I normally don't preorder unless it's something that will be sold out 10000% before release (like the Zelda BOTW Master Edition) or a get a decent discount (amazon and best buy).
Beyond that, I can wait.
I do not see how unlocking the region would cause any sort of issue. People have soft modded their systems with no issue for months, if not years (I do t recall how long its been since the 3DS/New 3DS have had this) and the fact that it can be soft modded in shows that a firmware change should allow it.
Well,the system should be able to support Bluetooth headphones. But if it's not available within the next couple of months, then I'd just give up hope.
Also, while maybe not possible with the current version out, using the USB-C port on the pro controller could be possible, but who knows if that'll introduce some additional latency to the controller or not. It would kill battery life for sure.
include a better CPU/GPU and you end up killing battery life. Even clocking the Negra X1 to what the Nvidia Shield uses and you would kill battery life.
If it were solely a console, then you would have a point. As a hybrid, you have performance vs battery life to worry about. The negativity isn't warranted. People want something on par with the xbox one or PS4 with 5+ hours of battery life, which isn't possible at this price point.
Went an older game is just ported with no polish or anything added, then yes, it sucks. But with games like Wonder Boy, Where the entire game is pretty much redone, then there is value there. Other games, like Voodoo Vince and Full Throttle, where everything is cleaned up and more, is also a great way to remember these older games that ran on hardware that very few still own and use.
My guess is that Nintendo will probably mention something at E3, but even then, a steady influx of quality games is more important than a virtual console.
