I feel as if this article just indirectly called me old....
And personally, outside of a few classic titles, I'd rather be gifted newer games.
That would be Majesco, not microsoft, but they went belly up, so no idea who owns that IP. It would be nice to get an updated, less buggy version of the game.
In the Xbox settings, you can tell it to ignore the TV power state, so you DO NOT have to disable HDMI-CEC on your TV.
That it quite possibly the biggest thing causing this, which is by design, poor design, but design none-the-less.
If you suck at games, yet enjoy playing them, I say you should be allowed to review them. As long as you don't bring up difficulty.
Just 5? the whole trailer was that way.
Think about it this way.... The OG Xbox and PS2 had games with DLC. If you decide to revisit those games today, unless you have had your console back then or if yourconsole dies and you replace it, then what? Your DLC is gone. Fast forward to today's consoles. If Sony, or Nintendo stop access to the consoles of today and your replace a system or HD, then it's all gone. No games.
What bother's me now is Nintendo is allowing physical games where you need to downlo...
Kinda wish they would include Maverick Hunter X (Mega Man X psp remake)
Like everyone already mentioned, 1st and foremost, cost. People have been flipping their lids already since it's a $500 console. an equivalent sized SSD would have easily added $200+ to the cost.
Then also not all SSDs are the same, or even similar in speed. Also, a simple thing like cloning a drive doesn't always work 100%, even if it appears too. A more ideal method, which seems detailed online, is to do it manually (no cloning, may require some Linux voodoo) and ...
This more of a cultural difference than a design issue. Granted, it's similar to every other issue someone would bring up with design differences between US and Japanese Games.
It was kind of hard for me to read beyond the point where they mention the Switch's internal storage as a "hard drive"...
Beyond that, games have gotten larger every gen, and that's not accidental. Game engines are getting more complex, textures are more detailed, audio quality is superb AND more. A game that can easily reuse textures and skimps on audio quality can easily save space.
The issue isn't that games are getting larger, ...
The switch branded ones are still overpriced. Amazing how much they are charging to stamp a switch logo on the cards.
But MegamanXXX, it's not a new issue.... People needed to upgrade hard drives last gen too if they wanted to download more and more games. I have launch PS4, which was $600 and day 1 I swapped out the 40GB HDD (or 60, don't remember) with a 250GB and a few years later with a 500GB. My Launch xbox 360 has a 120 (which I did myself)
The casual market seems to be complaining the most, but want to go digital. If MS included a 2TB drive, they'd still complain with s...
if you plan to upgrade the ps4 pro hdd, you have to spend more as well, so whats\'s the point? The extra $100? If you have the cash to fill the drive in games, then you can expand the space. that goes for all 3 consoles right now.
While i own the pc version i do want the switch version... Just not at that price. If you look around, you can easily find the xbox, ps4 and pc versions for around $20, give or take. Portability doesn't justify the cost to me.
been to a hooters in Japan.... was disappointed that drinks came in smaller glasses and no free refills. most of my bill (like 80%) was my non-alcoholic drinks.
So, do people want 4k gaming but keep the lower res textures? Then doesn't that defeat the purpose of the additional power of the One X? Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I agree that the system should have come with a larger drive, or one that was replaceable, but you can get a 1TB drive at times for the same price of an official controller or less. I found a 2TB, USB 3.0 drive on clearance for $40 earlier this year, and planning to swap out the one in my PS4 soon as well. At le...
Amazon US as well.... I wasn't charged until 4am monday, and they shipped it at 6pm the same day by usps. Despite only being a 6 hour drive, im waiting until either wednesday or Thursday if it requires a signature. I have read about others that are still waiting to be charged or shipped
If game update sizes are deterring people from wanting to get the x1x, then are these same complainers PC gamers/PS? Do they buy AAA games on digital on PSN, Steam or XBL? PC games have already crossed the 50GB limit long ago. There were 20-40GB games last gen on PSN already (and PS3s came with small drives already, by standards of the time)
It's a natural progression, as games get better looking every generation, games sizes go up. That's why upgradable and add-on ...
It's not on Nintendo... Nintendo has a 32GB card available, it just costs more (duh)
I mentioned somewhere else, but a method the Vita used could help...
Ship the game with reduced quality sound/textures so it fits on the cart. Then release the full quality assets as DLC. This way the game is fully playable straight from the card. This whole "buy a physical copy, but download xxGBs to actually be able to play the game" is just a bad precedent and I ho...
Kind of wished I knew this was coming before buying it digitally....
