It's not really an issue at all... Think about it this way.
WiiU ports: an entire generation of games that MANY gamers missed out on.
Many other ports: Some people tend to live on a sole console, so this is a way for them to play. Also a way for some higher end games to be available on a portable for the 1st time ever.
All other ports: because money
End result? Switch games have more games, which is a win
hmm...Can't use VPN to connect to my home network at all. The app says it doesn't have a network connection. Disconnect from my VPN and it works, sorta. Guess I'll have to try it when I get home.
Or it could be a U.2 ssd... as long as it's upgradeable (on both next gen consoles) then everyone wins... except gaming bolt :) They should just not be allowed up post ssd based stories again.
hmmm.... reminds me of Julie Strain's character in Heavy Metal 2000....
Actually everything about this just reminds me of Heavy Metal 2000.
Totally an opinion piece with almost no research.... Some consoles do not deserve to be on this list compared to other failures.... As mentioned by others, consoles like the Atari 5200, 7200 and lynx, CD-I, 3DO, nuon (remember that?, wasn't there like like less than 10 games released), the Pippin, and the TG-16 (and I freaking LOVE this system) These are just consoles that even made it to the US, and I'm sure I missed a few. Now add Europe and Japan and almost none of the systems on t...
Guess none of you held a gameboy advanced micro as an adult? or a neo-geo pocket.... or both for 2+ hours at a time. The switch, for me, is more comfortable than either of those 2.
I'll spends hours on end playing a proper Castlevania game. I will spend 5-10 minutes once or twice a day max playing a phone game. If this were on consoles or PC i would be interested.
Pretty much. It's funny though, Tekken gets Geese and people were like "cool". Soul Calibur gets Haomaru and people are "That's pretty awesome"
Smash gets Terry and some people are like "Terry Who?"
It's not like Terry hasn't been in a game since the 90s. KOF 14 released just a few years back.
Sony: The vita is no longer supported.
Also Sony: No, you cannot install whatever you want (or unlock the cellular on US 3G variants)
I remember the days when, at work, we would disconnect from the office network to play this multiplayer.... It was awesome
Some Xbox and Xbox 360 games are already getting the "remaster via emulation" treatment. Digital Foundry has posted a few comparisons on this topic, with Ninja Gaiden 2 being the latest one. This shouldn't hurt Remakes at all though. Looking at things like Resident Evil 2 and how well it's done and the anticipation for FF7 show that remakes have a clear place in gaming. Remasters on the other hand have been hit or miss. While some have been well done, others have seemed like...
Useless 3G (that was locked to AT&T and everyone refused to unlock), super expensive proprietary memory card storage, lack of any real support from Sony after its 2nd or 3rd year and the fact that only a single account can be on a system. So what went wrong with the Vita? Sony went wrong. with the vita, which sucks as I love the system.
Anyone remember when the PS3 prototype had 2 HDMI ports? Sony has done this in the past, Show off early versions of hardware with balls-to-the-walls specs, but then release something more realistic if you want it to be affordable.
US release with a limited physical run in the US was also announced.... Not a limited edition, but limited as a smaller print run, based on the PR I saw this morning.
So hard to tell if it's real or not.... the last April Fool's announcement that turned out to be real that I had interest in was Fighting Layer EX.... Guess we'll wait until tomorrow to see...
Seems like in it's current state, it should have been a budget title. Then no one would care.
Wasn't it both 90hz refresh rate and 90fps, that was important?
Guess they haven't played DOA2: Hardcore on the PS2....
Many people don't realize Konami Gaming (not to be confused with Konami Games, Gaming = casino games) has a large foothold in the US casino market. People only seem fixated on the pachinko part, but that's only a part of what keeps them going. They have a large office in Vegas that works with casino games and player tracking for casinos. Konami as a whole has nothing to worry about. Konami Games (the video game arm) is on it's way to becoming irrelevant
1 reason...easier than having a cable dangling to your powerbank. Now is this any good? no idea, it seems like it would invite added heat on the back of the unit.
