a good pr move on capcom's part would have been to put the larger game on the card (since the switch cards max out at 32GB) and make the smaller game the download.... but companies are in it to make money, and the 32GB card would mean less profit :(
Besides it always being free.... the press release was sent out at 8am PST (well, that's when it hit my inbox) so it's not a rumor or leak.
Unfortunately, the new game selection on the vita gets smaller and smaller, and I love my vita.
Sony's real lack of 1st party game releases doesn't help either. While there are some GREAT games on the system, finding physical copies gets harder and harder, and memory cards for digital only releases aren't cheap either.
They have done the same with the Wii, Wii U and 3DS (there is some overpriced 16GB sandisk SD cards in my walmart still... Bought 128GB samsung memory on clearance for about $5-6 more at the same store.) so this is more of a continuing partnership rather than something new.
People already complain about either the Switch's price, or lack of storage. Problem is, more storage would increase the price.
My concern is, if I buy a physical game, I should be able to play it from beginning to end. Sure, it could be a bug ridden mess, but the whole game should be on there. I also understand that if they were to make 64GB+ size game cards, those would cost more too.
So is there a middle ground?
Some Vita games ...
The MS made Mechwarrior games, Panzer Dragoon (crimson dragon is the closest we have had since Orta), baseline SNK fighters (Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, etc, not just KOF), R-Type, Splatterhouse (either a continuation of the reboot or the original series) and Keith Courage!
(just kidding about Keith Courage!)
The early access/alpha/betas are nice and fine UNTIL the game is released.... What happens if someone just got a console or PC that is capable of playing the game you want that has been released already? Early Access/alphas/betas are of no use since most of the times they are pulled. That's why the gold old demo should stay around.
This is more of a "most expensive CEs to buy now" than hardest to get...
More of a wiki than an article. With no release date mentioned, just the 2018, which we already knew about.
Didn't xbox live charge from day 1? and lets admit it, it wasn't the greatest in the early days (I still have my "I have great hands" shirt from the beta around here somewhere) and Sony just forced payments for multiplayer for the PS4 when it launched. The PC master race doesn't have to worry.
Now, server's and server maintenance isn't free. The way to not go broke is to either charge for it, increase game prices, DLC or not bother.
...
I have to disagree.... while some games would be great, thanks to portability, not "every" game would benefit.
As some have mentioned, voice chat, in its current implementation, is an abomination. Not matter if it works or not, the simple fact that an Android or IOS device is mandatory for voice chat was a poor choice. Add to it that some games rely on higher amounts of memory and higher specced GPUs to create the desired visuals needed for some games.
So...
you know what's frustrating? retailer exclusive bonuses, both DLC and physical.
Soul Calibur, main line snk fighters like fatal fury and art of fighting, matrimelee and rage of the dragons (a good double dragon fighter).
I could go on and on and on....
well, Colorwave mods have never been cheap....
I stand corrected.... now 2 people are talking about it.
I'm surprised... people talking about Nintendo nickle and diming consumers but no one brings up Koei-Tecmo? DOA5 has like over $600 is just costume dlc, and only like 2-3 actual character dlc.
Remember when Nintendo gave you physical rewards?
If you see it at $20 for just the content released today, then yes, it's bad.... but as a season pass, there is more to come...well, 1 more to be exact. If seen as $10 per pack, which is what it technically is, it's not so bad. Even better if you find an eshop giftcard on sale.
Can't really say best ever...
Best Switch game? By far
Best Nintendo game ever? It's way up there..
I can say as someone how has been playing games since the 80's, Zelda BOTW is the 1st game to get me to clear the 100 hour mark before deciding that I should probably beat it and move on to another game.... Until the DLC gets released and sucks me right back into the world of Hyrule....
would have preferred ANY of the Riptide games instead
