it doesn't need to be too much bigger to accommodate a user replaceable drive. Some thinish laptops still are capable of maintaining a slim profile and use a 2.5" sata drive along with an M.2 drive. Drives don't need to be in big enclosures like MS did with the 360. Hell, even the PS3 ultra slim used a simple cover and slim "cage" for a user replaceable HDD.

You may be fine using an external drive, but I'd prefer internal. It's a choice I'...

but not everyone wants to plug in an external drive. I have on external on my XB1s and to be honest, would rather swap out the internal than have the external using up a USB port sitting next to the system. Just an option that disappeared when the XB1 was released.

And this is why the Xbox needs a user upgradable HDD bay... or 2.

might be getting? With Mario Kart DX and pokken DX, it's already happening.

Not a bad thing though, as mentioned, so many people missed out on some truly great games because they skipped out on the Wii U. What I don't want to see is lazy ports asking for $60. Quality ports/remasters with additional content sure, but if it's a straight port, then maybe "collections" would be ideal.... I'll just use the bayonetta 2 pack as an example. 2 full games, ...

Well, if the switch were as powerful as the xb1/ps4, then we'd loose portability as battery life would be lower than it is now. Even Vita and 3DS versions of console games were watered down significantly.

Now some games I'd rather have in a portable, the same way some games I'd rather have on pc. It's up to preference.

Let's see... My unfinished game pile extends into the late 80s.... And considering I keep almost every game I buy, that pile consists of hundreds of titles... Yes, hundreds.

Agreed.... and a better search ability.

Let's be honest, it "should" be capable of handling just about everything released up to the Gamecube with ease.

I'd love to see more Sega and TG-16/PC-E titles. Don't have to worry about the Neo-Geo titles at all, since we have had a steady stream. I'd love for sega to maybe emulate the Saturn on the Switch. Along with Arcade games that never got a home console release.

but in the case of Nintendo, there have been collector's editions released in either Japan or Europe over the years but not in the US. It's nothing new, but it's still frustrating.

Sure, Europe tends to get shafted with higher prices though...

It's hard to say... While they have done the smart thing and staggered major releases, it would be a matter of keeping that up. Not just 1st party titles, but 3rd party as well. If they can keep up released a major 1st or 3rd party title every 2-3 months and some quality tiles sprinkled throughout, then they is a chance to outsell the Wii...

You mean I don't have to have all of them?

just kidding... My only reasoning to have them all are they exclusives. Nintendo, Sony and MS exclusives. I tend to grab specific multiplatform games depending on the price/quality/exclusive content.

As for media streaming... My TV already has 4K capable clients for services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, etc. The XBOX One S handles 4K Blu-Ray, the PS4 handles the anime services.

Started working about an hour ago (Still wednesday here) and Sonic just went free too.. you just have to manually search for it since the link on the Sega Forever site is broken (Sega delisted the $2.99 version and relisted it as free)

hmm... I get a "cannot be installed on your device's country" error when attempting to install....So not available in the US yet?

It's a known issue, and bringing it up again the wait it was brought up is my issue. The title and summary are what I have the issue with. Now if they titled it mentioning the issue and that Reggie was asked about it, then I'd be fine with it.

didn't EVERYONE mention this at the launch of the system? At almost 4 months later, i consider this click bait.

PC games are developed with various hardware specs in mind... console games are (now) with 2-3 variants (as of now) in mind, so optimization "should" be better.

Also not expecting PC "ultra settings" either...

So let me get this straight.... not including prices based on inflation.... No one had issues when consoles launch at high prices, but a huge leap in hardware quality demands a lower price? No, I'm not made of money, nor do I have money itching to be spent, but this confuses me. This isn't like the PS4 Pro, that cost $100 more than the standard PS4 (around $300 for the non pro when the pro launched) that is using upscaling techniques to give you 4K in some games. This is giving us 4k ...

During a launch window, Items should be 1 per customer per day. After the initial launch window (1-3 months, depending on the item) then they can open the floodgates and sell whatever number to whoever.

But that's my opinion.

Actually, the issue is simple and HDMI CEC related. What's happening is the switch, for whatever reason, when asleep is still pinging the TV. Some TVs and other HDMI devices are switching to that input when it detects that ping. My 4k HDMI switch did this and drove me nuts. Other devices, like LG TVs (i too have an LG tv), is just letting you know that it's detected something on that input.

The ideal situation is for when the switch is asleep, for it not to even bo...

quite simple.... no money needed. at worst, you never play the game again. at best, you have a blast and maybe drop some cash for DLC or the sequel.

true, but to make a true portable ps4, it would need actual ps4 hardware. A bigger batter means a larger system. then cooling, thus a larger system. then storage. unless they use uhs-3 or faster storage (sony makes some EXPENSIVE fast storage for their high end video cameras)

actually... i could go on for a bit. if they make a portable that can match or surpass the PS3 at 720p/1080p then it'll already be better than the vita if they go with that form factor. If they wa...
