I agree on NES Zelda. I just wrote an article mentioning how difficult it was last week.

Where I'd disagree is that since the series has gotten so easy even since Link to the Past, it lost that hardcore edge, along with the rest of Nintendo's franchises. Really, if you look at it one way, Nintendo catering to casual au...
Is anyone surprised? Given the quality of past games licensed on martial artists and Hong Kong action stars (Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, etc.) if anyone was actually expecting this to be a topnotch game they must have just gotten into videogames yesterday.
On the other hand, if your game stars a generic white guy who's head is shaped like a cardboard box and wears a constant expression of constipation, its guaranteed to be a hit.
zzzzzz... flamebait. Who cares? Getting pissed off because someone criticized a game you like is for dumbass fanboys.
LOL, I'm sorry, do you need a tissue?
I don't necessarily disagree with the point of the article, I just feel it was poorly written. Just the whole voice of the piece, it doesn't sound like it was written by a professional, it sounds like it was written by some n00blet on a message board, and then run through MS Word for spelling and checked by his mom to make the grammar just inside of technically correct.

OMG HOW CAN U CALL PS3 AN SUV??? WIT TEH POWER OF BLUERAY ITS 18 WEELER MAC TRUCK U XBOT F4GGOT!!!!!!!!1!1!1111
(sarcasm)
I feel this is a very poignant article with reference to both games, and really on the whole industry. It's not just about beating the dead horse that these games scored disappointingly, it's about WHY they scored the way they did and WHY it was disappointing. After all, if HS had been completely unknown before it came out, people would be pleasantly surprised to see a new 8.0 or 8.5 game come onto their system...but when you take on all this hype and these promises, then rush things out to m...
Yeah but as a gamer, sales don't matter, unless you're a fanboy who wants to see your system outsell the other. From a "real" gamer's standpoint, the games reviewed poorly, people who played the demos confirm complaints about the reviews, and even if you go the positive route and consider Lair a 7.5 and HS an 8.5, that's not the 9 or 10 they were promised to be...so why would lay down money for these games unless you're just plain bored and desperate?
"It's not as simple as:
PS3/360 exclusive? [check]
gud grafix? [check]
1080p? [check]
60fps? [check]"
LMAO, pure gold!!! I'm REALLY sick of seeing people judge games this way...practically everyone on N4G does it.
I have enjoyed the hell out of some games that received mediocre reviews (Legend of Mana, probably every Street Fighter sequel I own) and been bored by some games that got really high review scores (3D Ninte...
OMG Eternal Sonata got bad review must be cause EGM are bias!11 (sarcasm)
FFXIII biggest upcoming RPG? Pssh, I've been a hardcore FF fan since FFI, but they've been hit or miss ever since FFVIII and after the string of FFX-2, XI, and XII I'm not at all interested until they actually show something legitimately interesting. Instead, they've failed to show any new material at all the new game cons this year, leaving a single old trailer or two from E3 2006 as the only bit of info on the game. Gee, it has another past-meets-future setting, and a main character that lo...
Well, if you say there is a bias in the media, I suppose I'll have to take your word for it. I don't own either system, so I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the reviews...especially for PS3, because PS3 has fewer games that interest me (not because I'm inherently biased against it). However, you don't sound like a fanboy, so I'm willing to believe what you say is accurate and not just a biased way of looking at things.
I think there are a lot of problems with game journa...
Fvck the format wars. I don't care.
Like I said further down, if you don't think Killzone's AI was dumb, then you are as smart as a Killzone AI.
Also, Lair got worse reviews from "unbiased" publications like IGN and Gamespot than from "biased" ones like EGM or 1up. LOL.
No offense, but if you think Killzone 1's AI was 'alright' then your intelligence must be on par with an Killzone 1 bot...LOL.
The thing you guys have to realize is, journalists already ignore so much of the weak stuff in alpha/beta/demo versions they view, that that's what we have to blame when games which are expected to be triple A suddenly turn out to be coasters. Take Black for instance - the game received a ton of hype as being the next big console shooter while anyone looking at footage pre-release could guess that there was absolutely nothing to it beyond the visual effects. And yet, based on the notion that ...
...just goes to show that Wikipedia is NOT reliable when you want the facts.
Yeah FirstKnight, Home has looked like a joke to me from day one:

Aside from the hilariously cheesy dialogue shown in the screenshots (Sony obviously has no idea what online gamers are actually like) I just don't see why anyone would want to sit around customizing their avatar and fixing up their virtual apartment so they can sit around on a virtual...
Fvck both of 'em. I'm tired of hearing about the format wars.
MOH is old news. Brothers in Arms is the new WWII franchise of choice.
