Modern console D-pads are universally considered the be insufficient among hardcore fighting fans, whether its PS2, Xbox, PS3, or 360. The Saturn was really the last system with a D-pad respected by competitive players, which is why nearly everyone serious buys/builds a HAPPS or HORI arcade stick of some sort.
So don't be so quick to flame people, you crybaby fanboy... and for god sakes, stop typing like a n00b and learn how to freaking punctuate.
I think there are complications because Capcom no longer has the rights to tbe Marvel license. I'm sure if they really cared, they could get things worked out, but 2D fighters are clearly the last thing on Capcom's mind right now. In any case, do we really need more half-assed re-releases and ports from Capcom? Please don't give them another excuse to avoid making a NEW Street Fighter or Capcom VS game.
Someone needs to tell MK_Red that it's not news every time someone farts and it smells like Bluray.
Graphics and animations (so far the "physics" are just visual effects too) DON'T make a game. It's too early to say that gameplay in Killzone 2 will be bad, but it's also too early to say that it will be good. Regardless of how good the visuals are, a game doesn't show up on my radar until it starts to show off unique gameplay features, and so far in all their efforts to prove that they can match the visual quality of the E3 2005 trailer, Killzone 2 has failed to do that.

I didn't even know this site had a non-gaming section.
I'm not going to report this but um...how is this related to gaming?
This is really rather stupid. I can see limiting copyrighted material to a single machine, but multiple users on one machine? If I got Super Mario Bros on my Nintendo, my sister and step brother were always welcome to play it...if they would have had to buy their own copies, no one would ever have had the fond childhood gaming memories that they do now.
The article is not about HDDVD vs Bluray, it's about the Toronto Film Festival. Ebert just makes a short off-hand comment about Bluray...doesn't really seem worth posting. I'm really tired of N4G contributors just hunting for console/format war flamebait and making their own story out of a single line from a whole interview.
Publications talking about who had the best and worst showings at E3 is completely normal and has been done for years. It's not like judging a book based on the first 20 pages, it's like judging a manuscript or draft (and other manuscripts and drafts) based on the entirety of what's been given to you. Again, this has been done for tons of games for years, I'm sure EGM criticized other unfinished games which were at E3, and yet people aren't throwing a temper tantrum over those games...why? Be...
I've watched gameplay footage of KZ2 from E3, and while I didn't see the Helghast doing anything really terribly stupid in the clips I saw, you could tell that the AI was very minimal - they were basically just walking around shooting like zombies from Doom. So far the only mag to say anything positive about the game was Game Informer, and everywhere else, mags either said nothing (because they were obsessing over the graphics) or they said they were underwhelmed by the AI. If you think the K...
Yes, but if you're still playing your Dreamcast, that just goes to show that the financial success of a console means nothing to the consumer; if anything the "death" of the Dreamcast was good for gamers because then everyone could buy one cheaper.
In other words, even if the PS3 did somehow turn the tables and beat the 360 into submission, forcing the 360 to be discontinued early (an unlikely event) 360 players would still have fun playing their 360's, so who cares?

Thanks! I don't know who docked my 5th bubble, but it was probably some angry 360 or PS3 fanboy. Given that I generally stay as neutral as possible with my comments here, I don't know how I could have made myself a target, but whatever. It's nice have one's words appreciated.
The fact that these were E3 awards pretty much nullifies any argument against the incident. The E3 awards are about what was shown at E3...not what will be shown later on when the games are done. Killzone 2's showing for AI was not up to snuff...too bad. Maybe Killzone 2 can win best AI of the year for 2008 when the game is done... Maybe if they weren't so busy trying to push the visuals to match the "fake" E3 2005 trailer, they could have had more gameplay features to show for the ...
I personally don't really care if disc space does limit games on either 360 or PS3. Games already look good enough, what's really important is polished and innovative gameplay...if developers run into a wall with disc space, they'll just have to shrink their assets down to fit, or *gasp* use multiple discs. Given all the techniques developers have used over the years to optimize and cut corners technically, I think it's more than reasonable to expect them to navigate around the problem should...
I'm proud of every N4G user in this topic. I cringed on clicking it thinking it would be degenerating into a flamewar by now, but instead practically every comment was very reasonable even when there were biases presented. If only every topic on N4G could be like this one...well...we can hope...
Well, it depends on whether he means "COD4 looks like a sh*tty game" or just "COD4 looks like sh*t [visually]". Visually, I think it's pretty hard to deny that the game LOOKS good, but every game looks good these days, and what makes a good game (beyond the visuals) is very much a matter of preference.
I personally don't see any reason to be so negative about the game, but hey, at least he's flaming both the 360 and PS3 versions equally for once, and on this...
A DS price drop would be nice, I've been considering picking one up for some time now...
LOL, N4G contributers are really hitting the flamebait hardcore in the past 24 hours. I'm starting to feel like these kinds of stories should be reported for bad editing.
Anyway, I have mixed feelings about COD4...on the one hand, the COD series has proven itself very successful at creating fast-paced, competent and moderately realistic military shooters. On the other hand, there's always a tinge of arcade sensibility to things which annoys me, and COD4 so far hasn't failed to ...
This game is pretty damn ambitious in terms of gameplay innovation for a shooter, what with the entirely coop design and high focus on AI. I hope it delivers on all its promises, but we'll see.
Of course, because this game is multiplatform, no one on N4G will notice it, because it doesn't give fanboys anything to argue over...nevermind the fact that it seems to have more ambition and innovation when it comes to gameplay than possibly Halo 3 and Killzone 2 combined. Oh well, it'...
