Even though it's basically just a movie prop, it was pretty cool seeing something so integral to the game brought directly to real life.

They would probably just be like "great, arm the roadside bomb!".

Realistically, the warthog wouldn't make a very good combat vehicle as it offers next to no protection, seats few people, and puts the gunner standing right out in the open exposed to fire. It's a cool visual design for an arcade sci-fi game, but in real life driving something like that into combat would probably be suicide.

For all we know the gun is just a prop and doesn't even function. Even if it was real, it would probably be loaded with non-functioning dummy rounds. Furthermore, you can't just go firing off a gun in the middle of a freaking parking lot just for fun, especially not a freaking chain-driven heavy machinegun... look at how many residential houses are all around the area, not to mention cars and people. There's a reason why weapons are fired exclusively at shooting ranges.

LOL, the Wii blaster is the most innocent-looking, non-violent light-gun peripheral the game industry has seen yet...all it really does is hold the already existing remote and nun chuck in a vaguely gun-like formation (something you can do with your hands). When you're playing a game like Resident Evil where you're blowing zombie's heads off splashing brains and blood everywhere, I hardly think using the Wii blaster over a regular controller makes much of a difference.

Yeah the youtube version works. Pretty funny, too bad it failed approval... too many insecure Halo fanboys here.

lol, n00b criteria for judging a game's quality:

- 1080p (check)
- HD (check)
- gud art stylez (check)
- 60 FPS (check)

...but if its 30 fps its not showing the power of the cell processerz!111

Yes, good interview.

The video doesn't work for me, otherwise I might approve it.

Not sure about the gameplay, but it looks really nice. Makes me feel the void where an awesome next-gen Secret of Mana game should be, but isn't, because Squareenix can't get their sh1t together.

LOL, flamebait. The quality and relevance of articles which get top coverage on this site just continues to sink. I think the N4G editors need to start exerting more control here instead of letting fanboy users run the show...the site is basically turning into a total joke.

This useless article got 840 degrees?

Zzz... An insubstantial article making a weak attempt to bash Nintendo over something that was never attempted to represent itself as more than it is. IIRC the thing doesn't cost any more than $20, so it's not like Nintendo is really trying hard to rip you off for a miscellaneous accessory. If you like it, buy it, if you don't then don't...there's nothing to get high and mighty about.

I doubt XIII or any new FF could every recreate FFVII's success. A large portion of the audience really wowed by FFVII were totalRPG n00bs who were completely ignorant the genre until FMV's came around and stunned them with "gud grafx". To people who had been playing the series since FFI, FFVII was very good, but not the best ever. Since then, Square Enix has lost touch with what really makes interesting characters and compelling stories, while struggling to do anything in-depth or ...

They can't even be bothered to make a new Street Fighter game, but they will stoop to making a new crappy movie?

Interesting to hear that Tetsuya Nomura and the rest of the FFVII-X team are working on XIII, and not the XII/Vagrants Story/Tactics team. Don't know if that was confirmed before.

Given how long it's taking them to get anywhere with FFXIII, and the fact that it will be a miniseries unto itself, we won't be seeing that VII remake (even if it does actually happen) any time in the near future...probably not till the last half of the PS3's life span.

* deletes N4G bookmark, replaces it with bookmarks for sites that don't just report on console/format war bullsh1t 24/7 *

I'm personally not a Dragon Quest fan, but we need more actual game news and less console/format wars "news" on this site. Hurray for stories that aren't just petty flame bait!

I like the scans better as the story than a link to some stupid forum post (like the other Crisis Core Famitsu story has).

It's interesting to see an FFVII spin get good reviews for once, though Famitsu has been known to score games well just based on the franchise/developer involved rather than the actual content of the game. If it really is good, then cool!

You could actually recreate a full single-player race with all humans instead of bots...I'm curious to see what the rest of the game will be like (tracks, powerups, characters, etc). As long as its not like MK64 where every track sucks except for Block Fort, it should be an awesome game.

Well, they may not know how to make a solid game, but at least they know how to make fun of the rest of the game industry. In times like these, that counts for something...
