It's not revealing some shocking new event which will overthrow Nintendo's position at the top, it's just summarizing the situation with the gaming industry which has already been discussed by other articles many times. The title was obviously chosen to grab people's attention and cause controversy; not to give you an accurate picture of what the story was about.

Honestly, I rarely actually hear people asking for mature titles on the Wii, I just hear people asking for "hardcore" titles. And what they mean by that is "involved" titles, games more complex then the usual gimmick minigames you find on the system. I don't think there's any necessity to define "deep" games in order to figure out what the shortcomings of the Wii library are. I got my start on 1up and eventually found the restrictions of gaming sites like that to be pretty annoying after a while. It is nice being built into a community of gamers, but if you ever get serious about blogging, I recommend moving to wordpress or blogger. I just did, and it gives you a lot...
Why didn't he just link the full size version to the picture? Why would people want to click on the picture and see it again at the same small size? Does the guy just not know any HTML? Dumb.
At any rate, the larger pictures still aren't really big enough to get a good comparison of the games' levels of detail.

Console favoritism is for n00bs, and has no class. Intelligent people judge games based on the content, not the system its on, and judge systems by the games that are on it, not the company selling it. You can't "win" the console wars for your system by flaming fanboys just like yourself on the other side of the fence. This applies to fans of the 360, PS3, and the Wii.

Unfortunately, the screens are so small that it defeated the purpose. The claims that GOW and COD4 look better were also highly subjective; particularly given the tiny-ass screens shown as examples. Given that GOW and COD4's level of detail doesn't comes across in small pics, the Halo 3 screens were actually more attractive. Poor execution on the writer's part.
Also, the article wasn't terribly well written. "aka as the Halo spot warmer"? The acronym "A.K.A."...

The multiplayer is largely just fixing Halo 2's problems, doing what Bungie should have done a few years ago. The single player will probably be more of the same; just a mindless romp fun through dumb AI and good-looking environments. I will probably buy it and enjoy it, but it's not going to do anything particularly innovative, and it's not going to live up to some of the extreme hype fanboys are drooling out. I will have higher expectations for other titles.

To be fair, I agree that button mashing mini-games look stupid, but overall the man's been making stupid statements ever since he trash-talked about Virtua Fighter while simultaneously releasing a crappy VF knock-off series banking on its breast physics to sell. I'm almost ashamed to agree with him this time.

If Halo 1 worked fine, then why has Bungie publicly stated that the H1 Pistol was a mistake never to be repeated? And why does the mere mention of the Pistol or TSK cause huge flame wars and debates to break out on any Halo message board?
If Halo 2 worked fine, then why did Bungie openly admit that the SMG starts, spawn system, and dual-wielding use were problems in H2 to be remedied in Halo 3? …not to mention the fact that IGN, 1Up, other websites, and legions of fans harshly ...
