Why do Sony player base still think any Bethesda game will be on PS5 again? Isn't this the whole idea that exclusive means only one system get this & not the other system? "So their service will do great and they will earn so much more with sales that they can reinvest into the studios" MLB the Show also shown that Sony made more sales when their game is on multi-platforms. In the same logic, won't Sony make more money if they put Spider Man, Horizon Forbidden West, GoT ...
I guess Bethesda, & MS, is not under any obligation to provide any update to anything system outside of Xbox & PC.
Technically Mr. Kahraman isn't wrong. He, & his "company" said nothing directly related themselves to Silent Hill, MGS, Kojima, whatsoeven. Those are the pure imagination from the PS5 players.
Myst has been ported to every single piece of digital platform for the pass 30 years......
Apparently a lot of PS5 players ARE that naïve. Everything relating Abandoned to Kojima, Silent Hill, MGS, are all from the imagination for the naïve PS5 players.
I enjoy Hades more than I originally think. It is like the old arcade games, that you can play just a few minutes at a time. I don't have PS5 so I can't I haven't play Returnal. But from what I've read, Returnal demands a much more of your time for each session.
@CaptainHenery916 They are 2 independent companies, thus I said 2 different Sony companies. They are both under Sony group. So their strategy may or may not be in-line with one another.
They are 2 different Sony companies (within the Sony group of cause). Sony group also includes some little know companies, like Sony financial company in Japan for corporate banking.
Sony is a large group of different independent companies. Sony Entertainment (I don't remember the exact name), which produce films, TV or anime, is a separate company to SIE, which is responsible for PS5 & games. So what this Sony is doing may not be in-line with that Sony.
Agree. Games need to be developed specifically for their intended eco system: PC, consoles (PS5/ Xbox), mobile & Nintendo. Each platform has its own rules, expectation, resolution & most importantly, control scheme. I don't think you can play PC game on a portable device without a substantial optimization.
It seems to me Steam Deck is like Stadia, a product that is based on engineering possibility, not general customer demand. In Steam Deck's case, it ignores the uniqueness of PC gaming. PC gaming is always about unlimited upgrade possibility, high standard on graphic, high demand on computing power. PC gaming is designed to be played with key board+mouse, on a display 21" or higher. Steam Deck will not be the best place to play a large majority of PC games. Just imagine, will anyone p...
Just asking: do you mean physical disk edition? Are the digital editions of past GT version still available for purchase?
Rockstar makes a lot of money from GAT Online & RDR2 Online microtransactions. Don't you guy hate microtransactions from your guts? Since both GTA5 & RDR2 have been published way before the current gen console, who know what will happen with their next new games.
Actually, MS is in the gaming business even longer than Sony. MS was one of the biggest PC game publisher in the early 90's before they create the OG Xbox. MS pc games, like Flight Sim, pre-dated the PS1.
Why shouldn't? MLB the Show 21 is the perfect example. Does GamePass hurting the sales of MLB the show 21? No. According to Sony themselves, it double their own estimate. We will never know how much MS has paid MLB to get the GamePass Day one right. But the end result work for all 4 parties (Sony the developer get paid & double the sales, MLB the publisher got a big cheque, MS on GP subscription got boost in PR & keep the subscription number, me the subscriber got to play the game...
Sustainability & profitability are 2 different things. Sustainability means you don't get bankrupted & can stay in business. GamePass, like Netflix, Disney+ , HBO, Apple TV, are all still in business, right? So that is sustainability. From MS official earning report, gaming is making a profit as a whole. So GamePass is generate a profit (or not losing that much of money).
It's already here, outside US & Western Europe. For the rest of the World, more gamers are playing on phones then consoles.
This is the normal life cycle (at least for Forza Motorsport/ Horizon). All the past Forza games have gone thru this, i.e. Forza Horizon 2, 3. Why all the fuss now? I guess GT & Drive Club is going thru the same licenceing agreements, right?
@angh This will be a beta test on live subjects (PS5 consumers), so this is not a "standard, solid solution".
In the same time period, Playground has 2 Forza Horizon (4 & the up-coming 5) made. So that IS a grief concern over the 343 team. Is Halo now too big for its own good (campaign + co-op campaign + multiplayer + Forge)?
