@GottaBjimmyb
I'd suggest people have a hard time being convinced there's a 'historically accurate' argument when earlier editions of the game you can jump out of fighter planes, snipe in mid-air, then land in a helicopter.
It makes the, 'oh, but would a woman really be fighting there at that time' sound a little feeble.
I assume that Sayai Jin was implying Ghandi would be considered an SJW as he fought against the status quo to imp...
N4g has always been a cesspool. Anyone taking this place seriously should take a long hard look at themselves.
It's, allegedly, stands for 'News for gamers' but as there's barely ever any news it's filled with self-promoting sites pushing their own content. You get;
The same piece pushed by ten different poorly written sites and not one of them actually responsible for the original interview.
Opinion pieces, again poorly written, which add nothi...
@Gwiz. Do you understand what I said?
I'm talking about if the original Alien had come out now rather than 1979. Instead of taking it for what it is, anti-SJW would be whinging because of the ' "strong, badass, independent" woman garbage.'
Except if Alien came out now, you'd be complaining it was diversity for the sake of it, or some such bs.
Government involvement is usually blunt and broad. They're not going to create regulations just to control one or two titles/publishers and anything they did would undoubtedly have an impact on other games and devs and not in a good way.
Regulation also costs money for all the red tape, and who pays for that ? Us. So we'd end up all paying extra for nothing in order to save some people paying extra for something.
Plenty of people criticised Far Cry 5 for being '4 with nobs on' and not doing enough interesting stuff with its subject matter. Plenty of other people enjoyed it for what it was.
Neither's wrong, but if the author here played the demo and couldn't get excited about it, why should he lie? Maybe the ways that Days Gone distinguishes itself aren't that compelling or not fully implemented yet.
You say there's at least 5 open world games, 5 zombie games all coming out this year. That's a lot of games. Maybe, just maybe, this one isn't doing enough to make itself stand out from all the others - this article isn't the only one to show it such apathy.
'Gamers' criticise previews for reading too much like promo pieces, then when they don't it's because 'they sent the wrong person' or 'they have a personal agenda'.
In the UK it's £52.99, which is around the same price most AAA games release at on PSN. For example, the standard edition of Far Cry 5 is £54.99.
In other words, for all intents and purposes, it as standard an edition as you're going to get.
Do you have your gun with you at all times? I'd suggest not.
So, basically, you'd be fairly helpless when that ne'er-do-well comes 'bursting through your front door' with THEIR legally-owned gun.
Because as one of Sonys biggest in-house studios they're going to get all the time and money they need in order to produce top quality AAA stuff in order to sell consoles. They're also guaranteed to get high profile marketing at the big conferences, etc.
Sheesh. It seems half the stuff on the internet at the minute is kids whining about what people have done to 'their' star wars.
@yellowgerbil
If I was to paint 'F**KW*T' in large letters on the front of your house, would you leave it there because you wouldn't want to impinge on my freedom of expression of would you paint over it and tell the cops ?
Of course, I've used asterisks in this and my original post because I understand that if I didn't 'censor' myself, the comment would be censored for me by a member of admin for being offensive. That's something I ...
They aren't censoring anything. They're saying they don't want their work associated with PDP because of his actions. They haven't stopped him spouting his BS.
Even if he was kicked off of youtube, there are still other avenues for him to say whatever cr** is on his mind. He is not being censored.
Have Campo just launched some coup that most of us are not aware of. If, as I suspect, it is a no, then they aren't doing diddly squat to your 'most sacred right', rather they're a public limited company protecting their own interests.
Let's say 'N*******' on a live stream and it can help us make the news. See, anyone can make asinine comments.
From reading around - i.e. not going to the site above, but reading a few more reputable sources and working out what's going on;
Firstly, nothing is banned. It appears to be website set up to highlight some games which are disrespectful to the Islamic religion and why (i.e. nothing worse than Western governments with 'smokings bad, mmkay. drinkings bad, mmkay' level of PSAs).
Pac-man is no longer listed on there (and hasn't been for at least a month as it wa...
The literal definition of homophobia is having a dislike or prejudice against homosexuality. 'I don't agree with or support..' falls into that definition.
"the developer went on and on about accuracy in the game"
Where ?
Where have they ever suggested they were going for historical accuracy in the multi-player ?
Well everywhere except;
Indonesia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine, etc.
Who have or had varying bans on displaying them.
@Anthotis
B...B...B...bbbut that hashtag was all about ethics in games journalism, wasn't it? Nothing to do with hating on the 'nasty SJWs taking away my games'..
