I think you could print out your comment, tape it to a brick and then smack some of the commenters around the head with it and still it wouldn't click for some of them.

"So I say again... what women served in combat roles in the US Army 1st Infantry Division? "
Where do they say that there was ? The only mention I can find that Sledghammer have made is of women soldiers as French Resistance fighters.
COD has had multiple protaganists (British, Polish, Russians) before, so I don't see why they wont this time, even if they're going to push the US army part as a marketing ploy...

'Historical relevancy' in a video game where you're likely to be single-handedly taking down half the third reich.. ?

You do also realise that there was more than just the US fighting in WWII. I mean, the name does give it away, WORLD war II. Countries from all over the planet were involved in it, not just the one that sat on its backside until a third of the way through.

A mod has swapped out the clickbait article to one from the original source. Probably could have done with adding an update as some of the comments don't make sense anymore.

But it wouldn't have received the same attention purely for the fact it didn't try to misrepresent what he said and acknowledged at the start that this is a fan translation (i.e. while they may have done as well as they can, some of it is going to be based on conjecture and making a 'best fit' as a literal translation isn't possible going from Japanese to English.)
Therefore taking out individual words and using them as quotes is disenguous at best.

There is NO BEFORE net neutrality. It's what we have now. Getting rid of it MEANS allowing the government to be 'in your internet' MORE not less.

Try again at looking at it another way.

Hollywood has played fast and loose with historical accuracy when depicting WWII for years, I'm not sure why video games should be held in any higher regard.
I wonder if those crying about tokenism have the same objections to, for instance, Steve McQueens character in The Great Escape - who's main reason for being there was to sell the film to US audiences.

It sounded more like because Ubi is such a big company, he didn't have the control he wanted. So, he'd inevitably have to do interviews where he'd have to promote aspects of the game that he would have prefered to have done differently.
It's the nature of the beast. With so many people having an input there needs to be some compromise or it'll finish up as a mess or never come out.
There's probably some folks in his new company frustrated at some deci...

The mic.com article didn't turn the 'good news into a debate over police brutality'. That had already happened. The mic article just reported the sequence of events, allowing readers to make an informed view on it.
You know, like proper journalism rather than pulling opinions out your ass and forcing them on your readers.

And the 0.98% for 'winning the cup', is still 150,000. There are plenty of devs out there that would love to sell that many games.

There's also a case that considering FIFA is the sort of game which will be shared between siblings, friends, etc, that the total amount of players would be greater than just the amount of copies sold (so the 9% would also represent a proportionately higher figure).

They released a list of a dozen or so changes in the current patch and future patches regarding fixes for animations, multiplayer, inventory, and this is mentioned in the very last line of that.

So, despite ME:A having a development staff in the hundreds, despite it being in development for several years, despite EA investing several millions to support its creation, we're going to pin all of its shortcomings onto one single person - who, according to EA, worked at EAs motion capture labs and not with Bioware itself.
But no, let's assume that piece of lying garbage site you linked is true. Let's mercilessly attack, sorry 'criticise', this one person for t...

It's just such an asinine comment to make about a game. It's as if they actually believe devs say, 'wow, we've got this great game, but you know what, before we release it, let's make a conscious effort to make it worse.'
It's even more dumb in this case as the '2016 build' is from a leak, so it's not as if there's a claim that Bioware said 'it's going to look like this' knowing it wouldn't.

It wasn't just the joke, it was the response calling those Kinda funny fans who didn't appreciate it 'humorless sacks of shit'. Fans who pay his wages, Gregs wages, and the other members of Kinda funnys' wages.
Colins' 'harmless joke' was the last straw for some who were fed up with his attitude and were cancelling their subscriptions.
It doesn't matter how trivial Colin thinks the 'joke' was, he's representing his company and ...

You know, if he meant it as a 'personal joke', he could have just said it to the person who was, apparently, right next to him. Or even, DM'd her.
No, he chose to send the 'personal joke' by not mentioning her in it at all and using a trending hashtag on a very popular social media platform.

Do you see how people might have been confused ?

Kinda sad that Colin threw Greg and his other 'friends' and colleagues under the bus by continually being 'edgy' and objectionable and not taking any responsibility for it when people called him out.
Kinda sad that Colin has been stirring up shit like this for a while now, and maybe it's not an image the rest of the company want to project, and not the kind of followers they want to attract.
