slippery slope to where?
And how exactly would it hurt anyone?
An 'easy mode' wouldn't negate the default mode. It wouldn't remove the challenge set by the devs.
Is there any alternative links to this story. I'd prefer to read it from somewhere with a smidgen of credibility rather than giving clicks to this hatemongering numpty.
It's a victim of people holding different opinions.
It's not a crime for someone to say, 'I like this game, but I'd like it more if it had this, or did that.' No-one's picketing outside FROMSOFTs offices, demanding an easy mode.
And, at the end of the day, is this not just another 'lazy video game article' dragging out the subject yet again.
most people are Chinese, and half of them are women...
I can imagine the conversation;
'Dude, you see PS4 has countless excellent exclusives you're missing out on,.. but..'
'Go on..'
'Well, they're cutting down on titties in some niche anime games.'
'WHAT! You mean they're censoring games that I'll probably never play. Well, I'll just keep my Xbox, thankyouverymuch, and not play them on that.'
They can have as many categories as you want.
So you could do one for 'puzzle' games and one for 'first person games' and select Portal for both and it would show up in both categories.
Same for games you wanted to define as single and multiplayer.
I don't know if you know, but you can use 'set categories...' to make your own tags and it'll group them that way.
You can even pick multiple games by using 'shift' or 'ctrl' to select them and then right clicking.
It was an online survey of 2252 US gamers by EA. There's a link to it in the article (and one below);

Wonder how scary the results would have been had it just been N4G users.
Ask what a JRPG is and you'll get as many different definitions as you get answers. Which indicates there isn't a definitive answer.
I'm of the 'if it's an RPG made in Japan, then it's a JRPG' school of thought.
Though, as a term, I think it's becoming fairly redundant as gaming has evolved since it was first termed.
But I, and eveyone else, have to click on the articles and comment otherwise how will everyone know not to click on the article. I mean, if no-one clicked on the article then it wouldn't receive any heat and no-one would see it, and they wouldn't know they shouldn't be clicking on it.. and that's how 'they' win. It's madness, I tell you..
LARA!
when someone says 'what if..' to something, it makes someone else think, hey, 'yeah, but hey, what if...' to something else.
Just folks using their imagination to let us see things we didn't know we wanted to see.
I wonder what the comments here would be like if anyone had actually bothered reading the article ? We might actually have a thoughtful conversation about where the series might head in the future. What other mythologies could be used to influence further titles.
But, instead it's 'WAH, YOU CaN't chOP oFF KraTOS' WanG!' - which isn't even suggested in the article.
If you're struggling to comprehend a small grid like that, maybe you've picked the wrong hobby.
I'm all for diversity in gaming, but maybe the willfully dense need protecting from themselves.
Don't have a switch but could they not just do a reversible cover ?
I find it strange that the 'screw SJWs and political correctness' crowd seem to like him in spite of the fact that it's his video re the Mass effect 3 ending which calls gamers 'entitled'.
Usually, they hate gamers being connected to that word, and yet he was one of the first to use it as shown in this godawful sanctimonious video;

I think he's more likely referencing Sherlocks nemesis.
I think the last part is the most telling;
"I got the sense, interviewing Shimbori about Dead or Alive 6, that he's frustrated at the current debate around the upcoming game.
"I blame it on DOA Extreme," he said.
"But the fact is, we are trying to build a good fighting game with a challenging system. We put a lot of effort into tutorials and the quest mode to make it accessible for beginners. We are honouring the long-term fans and making sur...
Sekiro being hard doesn't bother me (I've not played it, but I have played through and enjoyed most of the Souls series), and I understand it would mean extra dev time.
What's bugging me is where is the harm in someone asking the question?
It might actually lead Fromsoft into investigating what it is that people are finding difficult or particularly challenging. Maybe it's not working as intended or they can learn from it to help influence the design on futur...
