I'm really looking forward this game. Strangely enough even more so than to GoW3 or GT5. I haven't been able to resist to view the first few minutes of the tutorial and, although a lot of people made fun of it, even that part was beautifully and elegantely done by just going through the daily waking up routine; it will be at least an intruiging experience. Can't wait.
Just curious when we will see the first images and perhaps even a trailer of some sort.
But are these not the same clips that were posted earlier today?
People who are demanding changes to the controls need to adapt themselves to the game and not the other way around. And if they wish to play an fps with the same quality and visuals, but with twitchy controls then go bug IW and have them improve on the CoD / MW series in that department.
If you like it half as much as I do then you won't regret your purchase
I'm just fed up with these clichés. A lot of people always seem to think that KZ2 has no story or that they couldn't care less about the characters. But the funny thing is that in this case the story is not thrown into your face; it's more this underlying theme that is cleverly woven into the gameplay, which gives you this uncomfortable feeling that the protagonists are not always the good guys as a normal Hollywood story would portray them. And all these remarks about Rico for instance....
I'm really a fanboy when considered Killzone 2, so I'm not sure if you should listen to me or not. But if you like FPS and a challenge then in my humble opinion you can't go wrong with KZ2. And the visuals and gameplay are phenomenal. But just watch some gameplay on Youtube and read some reviews, they should help.
I honestly think this will become my favorite game of 2010! It's early yet, but still.
What a cool idea.
Not that I care much for those jungle scenes either, but come on. I'm tired of seeing again a Statue of Liberty in ruins and that sort of stuff. Of course we'll have to wait how it plays out, but again, we've seen and done that already.
From where did you get your info about which game has to do more / less calculations than the other? I don't think you're basing your statements on facts either. I can give you examples from Killzone 2 (I love that game) where U2 (and I do love that game also) doesn't shine as brightly; the AI comes to mind. And that's just one example. So please do not pretend that KZ2 has nothing on U2.
If you mean Visari Square at Elite difficulty; I had the same 'problem' and was stuck on there too for a while. I think I first used the turrets to wipe out the bulk of the higs. But to be honest it's kind of a blur right now. I had a lot of luck too I imagine. Just keep on trying.
I really hope we do see some Resistance 3. So curious how it has improved, graphics wise. And Killzone 3 would also be awesome, although I think it will be a little too soon. I can imagine they will wait for somewhat later this year to show some kind of trailer.
As for the GoW PS3; just wow!
since they all seem to guarantee sequels. I must admit that I often do not understand why certain PS3 exclusives do not sell more than they are doing right now, but I do know that they are generating such a buzz among gamers, because of their quality, that I think that now the install base of the PS3 consoles is growing rapidly, future sales of exclusives will increase accordingly.
I short, PS3 exclusives are doing just fine according to me.
For finally getting some recognition concerning this outstanding game. Hopefully this is an eye opener for certain other gaming media.
I think it's because the 360 doesn't have a game quite like UC2 yet ( no, GeoW isn't the same ). But in Killzone 2 the PS3 has a game which may surpass the shooters for which the 360 is known and loved for. Perhaps that's a reason ? Because it's more of a threat?
And still I fall for it every single time. It looks like they couldn't fully deny KZ2 has 'some merits' but they just could not finish this year without a last bash in its face. Pathetic.
Just invest some time in the game to find out all posibilities. If there is one thing that Killzone 2 is guilty of is that there are too many options. Just take your time with it.
I seem only to react to all things Killzone 2 on this site, so one can understand how much of an impact this game had on me. I am just glad I'm not the only one who likes KZ2 for more than its fabulous visuals. Because if you can only see that part of this game, then you're indeed missing out on a lot more it has to offer. Which I think is too bad. Anyway, congratulations to Guerilla Games. The praise from Gamespot is well deserved in my opinion.
That's a first. Usually I read that people hate it because it's so damn' difficult to aim and such. Mmmh, it looks like KZ2 is becoming mainstream. Who would've thought.
