Yea, indeed a breath of fresh air as opposed to all of those opinion pieces. And quite informative.
Uncharted 2, yes. Gears 2, no.
Ah yes, the hounds. That would be great. And the Liberation intro also shows the first Killzone jet packs. They have really made them slicker for KZ3.
It may be a bit premature to say, but even from this very short, no direct feed, one can tell that this is going to look even more beautiful than Killzone 2. And it's at f*cking pre-alpha stage. It's even cooler looking than I thought it would be. But then again, I'm a Killzone fan so I may be somewhat biased. Where is this from, by the way. Somewhere from Asia?
LOL!
LOL! That gif was especially made for this guy.
For me personally KZ2 was the first game ( even after MGS4 & Uncharted 1 ) that made believe that the PS3 is a real powerhouse when it concerns graphics and performance. It really wowed me, because I didn't think it could be done on consoles. We now know better, of course with the games that followed. GG was a relatively new team, so I understand that it must have been hard to live up to certain expectations.
(edit) @bobdog626 I'm curious about Crysis2 also. I...
I do hope we get to have some sort of art book in the future. Personally I think the Killzone universe has some of the most beautiful artwork I've ever seen. In my opinion anyway.
The actual gameplay you're referring to is already an old version of the game. They are constantly polishing, updating and improving. So please do not pretend to know how the final build will look. It's guaranteed that it will be a lot more better looking.
It's a teaser, man; it's beautiful, it's epic. Gameplay will be shown soon enough, I think. For now I'm just marveling about what they're actually teasing us with: beautiful visuals and an idea how the melee's will look.
OMG
Not if one should believe the Bit-Tech.Net impressions, where it's stated: "For starters, those who are graphically obsessed would do well to know that, while Crysis 2 looks good on consoles, it’s also not the best title we’ve seen on that front." But this is of course the opinion of just one person. I'm really curious how Crysis 2 will look in an urban enviroment and how the gameplay will be. The screens do look good I must say.
Wow, I think Killzone is the only franchise which evokes such strong emotions that people are warning not to buy the game. Is that what this no name blogger is actually saying? I thought I had seen it all. What a joker.
I wouldn't be surprised if they show KZ3 with Move and in 3D on E3. Like, you've seen the footage; this is how you will be able to play it. Something like that
Yep, by streaming the stuff they fixed the hick ups while loading. KZ3 should be a smooth experience in that department.
What I am curious about is the kind of enemies we are going to encounter in the SP. Especially in the jungle part. I hope we'll see some extremely lethal wild life there. Could be fun and beautiful to watch.
@ Independent
Frankly, KZ2 has lots of colour. Just play the segment of the AA gun on the New Sun. I think I have seldom seen a more beautiful and brighter vista than that part of the game. And that is just one example. It's just that the game is full of violence and warfare which makes it 'feel' so much darker than it actually is.
I'm really curious how this wil pan out in the final product. If everything falls into place then I think that 3D could really bring extra depth concerning the gameplay. Great article, by the way. It focusses on stuff that other hands on articles seem to neglect. Now I'm patiently waiting for the first real trailer.
So true.
I agree; the reflection on the water and ice is beautiful in that first picture. If they can pull of that sense of beauty in the game then that would be amazing.
