Why you want to get rid of 500 GB console when you can attach an external HDD go X1 that is better in every way than the internal HDD.
Think of an external ssd that you vpcan hook it to X1.

No one wants to have BC palying last gen games in low 10s (as it runs Mass Effect on X1).

We have a COMPARISON video showing that the PS4 looks (PS4 plays at 1080p as opposed to X1 that plays at 900p) AND performs better (5-10 fps difference in favour of PS4).
Very happy to see the improvements of this patch. There are enough reason now to buy Project Cars (for PS4).

Didn't MS say that X360 games run NATIVELY on X1, thus leaving the impression that they run as the old console.
From the video it is clearly for me that in NO way the x360 games run NATIVELY, especially since there are parts where X1 runs the games in low 10s.
And we are talking about Mass Effect an early game. How other complex games (Mass Effect 2, RDR) will play on X1?

Let's not forget that MS do not own the title right over Sunset Overdrive.
In my opinion Sunset Overdrive will come to PC after one year passes from the release on X1 (October 2015).
It is the same deal like Dead Rising 3 and Ryse.
And the charge kit is sold separately.
Or it's almost HALF of a X1's price...

I totally agree with you (you being one of the few). On the long term backwards compatibility will become an uninteresting option.
People need to understand that PS Now is a service that is available also on other devices (like TVs) and thus you can play PS games WITHOUT having a console.
The dynamic resolution is just MS PR, as only the cutscenes and the menu are 1080p, the gameplay is 900p.

Not really!
There are a lot of games where the PS4 has better resolution and has better Fps than X1. The last game that looks and plays better than X1 is Project Cars. Another one is Dying Light.
The problem in Ditched 3 is that MS had the "marketing" deal and this the PS4 version was not optimised (similar with the AC Unity).
More exactly, PS4 has to 2 APIs, GNM a low level API and GNMX a high level API.

Apart from the fact that you have to spend extra money on a continuous basis for AA batteries, the method choosen by MS is NOT eco friendly (Which for me is a very important factor).
Can you imagine how many AA batteries are used just to power the X1 controller? Can you imagine the impact on our Planet?
Adding the high power consumption in standby mode and it results that X1 is NOT eco friendly.

There are so many fixes that makes you wonder whether the game was ready for release in the first place...
I don't know why but my instincts tell me that (many) other patches will come.
Hope that at least the major issues will be fixed soon in order to buy it for my PS4.
Didn't MS say that one of the best feature of DX12 is the ease of PORTING GAMES FROM X1 TO PC (not vice a versa)? They even showed Forza 5 playing on a PC.
Under the circumstances your wish it might become true, as DX12 is the tool to achieve this.
