More than sure that it will be playable on PC somewhere in 2016.
They are hunting when the majority of developers are solely focusing on releasing these remasters, they are cheap to produce and they are priced same as the new releases.
In my opinion they are bad for gaming when there are too many on the market. Like how it will be in the near future if the rumors are true.
@timotim
In my opinion the game didn't deliver constant 30fps and this is the reason for lowering the resolution to 900p (without bothering in finding some exotic resolution, like 912p)
Xbox one was capable of running 1080p games before the new SDK and 10% release. As long as the game was not required to run above 30fps then no problem to achieve 1080 As an example I give you Tomb Raider which ran at 1080p 30fps.
So to achieve 1080p and ...
This type of news is becoming old. Just opinions and vague discussions on what it can do. I want to see results. Until now I've seen Metro Redux, in which the add 10% boosts the resolution from 900p to 912p and gives a solid 60fps.
If it helps the fps then good for releasing the 10%, but the 12p is irrelevant.
Looks fun, but is similar fun as Dead Rising 3. I think that Sunset has much in common with DR3. didn't you fed up with such kind of gameplay, especially since not even a year passed from DR3 release?
Oh I will give it a chance when it will be cheap enough, on my PC.
Good observation! I remember last generation when infinite predictions were made regarding ps4 and xbone, but in the end none of the predictions was even close with the final product :-)
None of them thought about an APU, but both Sony and MS chose this solution.
So we should wait and see :-)
From my perspective 4k should be the main objective for both Sony and MS, taking into account that currently all TV manufacturers offer 4k TVs and in 5 years period they will be affordable for the majority of consumers (due to price diminishing).
@Azzanation
Offloading the AI from the CPU results in not having two versions (i.e offline and online) of the same game.
AI offloading applies only for the multiplayer games, like Titanfall. Otherwise it is no reason to have 2 versions of the game, one with good AI and one with dumb AI, as nobody will purchase the latter. So the AI offload makes sense but for a separate discussions. We are now discussing for campaign games that are playable also offline.
I have a question for you. How much power do you think that the Cloud will offload from the CPU?
From what I'm seeing is just some background processing. Do you think that this is sufficient to achieve 1080p?
From my understanding this offloads the CPU, which will help with the frame-rates, but will not help the resolution. Even the developer says that will not help the resolution (even if indirectly).
So both online and offline version...
Good for them for clarifying the Cloud Power. This seems more realistic. However this splashes the myth according to which the Cloud Power multiplies for several time (3 times if I remember correctly) the console power. Background processing is viable in terms of the power limits of the Cloud and also in terms of online/ offline versions. However, it is miles away from what was believed from the beginning ( no resolution boost, no complex graphical enhancements).
And you'll get the exclusive white ps4 :-)
Thanks for your elaborated and friendly answer!
To answer your comment, the screen tearing in the FMV cinematics should not be a hardware performance issue, but merely a software bug which will be patched.
My comment has nothing to do with the graphics/ performance differences between ps4 & done. My comment is about the 10% benefits after releasing the reserved GPU resources.
So this is the "big" resolution/ performance boost given by the 10% reserved GPU? 12p?!!! And screen tearing?!! They should have kept the 10% GPU as reserved for Kinect and implement interesting features in the game. IMO it was a bad decision to free the 10% GPU, instead of using it for game features. This would have been the only chance for XBOX ONE.
I do not understand the disagrees. It was a sincere question. What I said wrong? Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance!
I'm not a tech guy at all, but if the API was close to the metal from the beginning, do they have space from improvements? It is important to improve the API and for this they need resources. Am I right that the current API is based on the CPU and for the future will be based on the GPGPU?
@diehard4sony
What?!! at the moment they close the deal, they know whether the game will be a timed exclusive or full exclusive. And I'm sure that the game could be full exclusive if MS pays the correct amount of money.
Nevertheless, the main point is that Microsoft should tell from the beginning that a game is only a timed exclusive and not promote it otherwise.
This comment could also apply to Sony, but I don't remember/ know doing somethin...
But why they aren't telling the people from the beginning that the game is a timed exclusive. As such, as a consumer I can make some thinking before buying. It is not a form of lying from Microsoft? I am totally against of "early adopter" excuse! As an early adopter you should enjoy more benefits and not to accept potential risks.
I see a trend now... as an early adopter you have to accept the release of a low priced new SKU (after just 6 months from release) de...
What? This was all? Come on Sony! You are better than this. Gee!
