If what you're saying is true, why did the Oddworld team drop development for the PS2 and move to XBox? Hind sight being 20/20 and considering the huge install of the PS2, the fans of Abe's Oddyssey owning PS1s and likely to move to PS2, I'd be willing to bet they wish they had taken the time necessary to learn PS2 architecture and released the game on it.
The 360 may have been less money up front, but it comes with less. If you add in the cost of the wireless adapter and now dead HD-DVD drive, the cost actually was greater than the PS3 at release. Gears of War 2 is the only exclusive I'm definitely getting. Too Human got 'Hazed' recently, so I'll wait and see. Not the biggest RPG fan, though I do play them, so I'll look closer at those when released. Since I also own a PS3, I'll decide on the multis I'm looking forward to on a game-by-game basis.

But enough XBL trashing. Their service is $50/year which is about 14 cents per day. I know people who are on a few hours everyday. It's pretty cheap, and it's a decent value. You pay a lot more and get a lot less in some of your other daily expenses. It certainly is valid to compare costs, but the cost is so minimal that it's the lowest factor, to me, when comparing XBL to PSN.
