See if you can follow the progression and guess the next logical choice.
Floppy disc, multiple floppy discs, CD, multiple CDs, DVD, multiple DVDs...
Ready? Could it be ....Blu-ray?
Did games growing in size from floppy to CD or CD to DVD show an increase in CG only for the increase in size? Or were there improved graphics, AI, etc.? So why would it be different this time? You can find other ways to take cheap shots at MGS4 that don't look so foo...
'if some 500000 people go to a store and buy the game its a success'
I think they need to sell a few more copies than that to realize a profit. Guess it depends on your definition of success.
When you look at the IGN rating, 'Decent' is exactly what it says.
I don't like his reviews, although I don't necessarily disagree with his numerical scores. He seems to try too hard to be clever, and I get the feeling after reading a review he has written that he is very impressed with his own work. For some reason the guy just irks me.
'Too Human is a rental if you like your Norse gods packing more electronics than a Radio Shack, but for everyone else it’s a pass. I would only recommend it to people who have cut me off in traffic or talk during movies.'
Now, that's funny, I don't care who you are.
'Seriously, how many games are we going to bash on endless barrels?'
Well let's see, you just took care of R&C, and this article about Banjo so.....TWO.....so far.....
Why can't you just love on the 360 without having to hate on the PS3?
Guess I've been one of the lucky ones. I got my 360 in November 2006. To date I have had some frustrating minor connection issues, but have resolved them, and have had no other issues.
I've had a lot of fun and memorable moments on the 360, like playing Gears and Halo 3 co-op and multiplayer with my nephews. I remember playing Condemned as one of my first games, how it set the mood well, how much better the graphics were than on my PS2 (I didn't get my PS3 until a day or two...
PoG, who are you to decide whose opinion counts, doesn't everyone's count? You yourself seem to have an anti-Sony agenda, though I will give you credit for not trolling the PS3 threads.
'I’ve never advocated nor endorsed the disgraceful behaviour of many anonymous gamers who have openly wished for this or any other game’s failure.'
Now if we can see the logic in this sentiment why can't we apply the same logic to the consoles themselves?
'We can't forget that there are a lot of very bitter PS3 owners who take comfort in seeing Xbox 360 exclusives fail.'
Kind of reminds you of the attitude 360 owners held towards Haze, doesn't it? ...
'Jealousy is strong with this one.'
You're no slouch in that department as well. Troll on.
'True the campaign wasn't really equal to resistance for example, but the multiplayer will keep people playing for years.'
Agreed. I enjoyed Resistance's campaign and story much more than Halo 3's, although playing Halo 3 co-op with a friend was cool, but Halo 3's lobby and matchmaking are second to none and the multiplayer is great.
Nice. I'm off work that day. Been wanting to check this one out.
'Blu-Ray is allowing PS3 to win this year'
Standard 360 fan comment.
'most folks on this site would sooner swim naked in a pool of nails then say anything positive about the 360'
Gotta call bullsh!t on that one. There are a ton of 360 trolls that claim to be dual console owners with nothing but trash to talk about the PS3. I don't know what threads you're reading, but I see equal garbage, if not more from the 360 camp.
Halo 3 is a great multiplayer game and meodicre at best in single player. Resistance's single player is leaps and bounds over Halo 3's.
The ending in MGS4 is not a ripoff of any previous MGS title, rather an homage. Sorry you missed that.
'It's true that people's opinion may be different, and all should be respected.'
MTT, if you mean all people's opinions should be respected I disagree.
If you mean all people should be respected (at least until they prove themselves unworthy of respect) I agree.
To further clarify, we all need to respect that everyone has the right to an opinion. We don't necessarily need to respect the content of said opinion or the way it is expressed.
Voice, ever consider demographics? Do you think Ferrari looks at what Kia is doing and considers it direct competetion?
I'm a dual console owner (360 & PS3). The Wii doesn't appeal to me. I know people who own all three consoles, but I also know people who only own a Wii and if they play it 50 hours per year that's a lot. They basically just screw around with it if they have guests over. They're not gamers. (and I don't intend that to be a demeaning remark in any wa...
Based on the length of time each console has been available, which is selling better?
I think DJ meant quantifable proof or at least 'Expert Opinion' as opposed to just opinion.
