Every gamer I know, both 360 and PS3 fans, are aware of KZ2. I even know a 360 fan who is super hyped for this game because Game Informer in their January 2009 issue has the game incorrectly listed as being available for PS3, 360, and PC. I tried to tell him that SCE is publishing the game, but he's sticking by GI's guns.
I don't believe the release of Halo Wars will have an impact on KZ2 sales or vice versa. Fans of the respective consoles/games will make their purchases. I own both consoles and will purchase KZ2 day one. I'm not a big RTS fan, but after checking reviews and videos, if Halo Wars appeals to me I will purchase it. It's not like you can only choose one at the exclusion of the other.
The original Killzone was a good game, but too ambitious for the hardware. The graphics are comparable to launch next gen titles.
My 360 DOESN'T have HDMI.
Your point being...
You don't understand what the 4th dimension is. Enjoy being uninformed.
My sentiments exactly.
'Microsoft is a public trading company and can get into series crap if they BS the market.'
If it's on a P&L report or earnings statement. If it's an off the cuff spoken remark, it's going to be awful hard to prove intent to defraud investors.
'Will we see an article just like this one when Sony post their numbers?'
I'm sure you'll find one to post. I think the other guy would like to, but he's lazy... :)
'MS is up against the PS3 not the Wii.'
Then what's with the PS3rd crap that's spewed all over this site every day. Oh, I see, only Sony is in competition with Nintendo. Must be because they're both Japanese companies.
And how about the NXE...and avatars...and more casual games...
Need I go on?
And if the PS3 ever surpasses the 360 sales, will it be proper to refer to it as the XBox3rd60?
@ Liquid and Forbidden:
Sex is a biological function, a process required for passing on DNA. We 'think' it into being something more, in my opinion. However, I do respect people with conviction, as so many these days believe and spew whatever is currently fashionable. Know that I do possess conviction, and am a moral, if not a religious, person.
May you both find eternal happiness with your special ladies, and bubbles to you both.
Perhaps it will backfire. Possibly people who were going to buy a 360 instead of a PS3 will now buy neither, waiting for the PS3 price drop.
Or maybe you get lazy and instead of proper R&D and QA you rush to release first and suddenly you're a billion+ dollars in the hole due to faulty hardware
'PS3 has a "lack of Memory" issues...'
Both consoles have the same amount of memory.
Rumors? Nothing confirmed? Kind of goes along with the secrecy thing, don't you think? Once confirmed, they're no longer SECRET.
Asscrack.
@ mcgraw
The difference is in the 'snapshots' of 'gamercards' on each system, that so many people love to post on forum signatures, etc. On the PSN, there's the tier that shows the different trophy levels and how many of each you have, along with your overall level, while the XBL one shows your gamerscore and latest (or maybe favorite is a selectable option when using a gamercard posting service)achievements. So for a quick-reference type view, the PSN version shows more info,...
How many people do you think have lost money investing by following the advice of your so-called 'financial experts'?
How about you do us all a favor and try real hard to win a Darwin Award?
Thank You.
Blade, sorry I'm late to the party, but have a bubble.
Is that taking RRoD losses into account? I don't know if Microsoft factors that in up front, or just shows it as a back end loss.
Calling Halo Wars a blockbuster is a bit premature. Sure the Halo name will help sales, but the similarities between Halo and Halo Wars lie in backstory and name only. Hardcore shooters may or may not like the transition to RTS.
