There's lots of time periods I'd love to see AC in, but in the East with Ninjas is not one of them!
I know at the end of the game there looked like Asian writing, but I'm really hoping no.
The first game may have had repetitive missions, repetitive combat, and for hardcore gamers was too easy, but what it did have was an amazing environment to explore freely and a very good recreation of a time and place.
Fluid motion and ease of use climbing a seamless environment were good things imo. It was a game that could be played by both casual newbies and more experienced gamers.
It was just over-hyped and we all had active imaginations of what we thought it ...
Retro is always fun. I want Goldeneye too! Damn Nintendo: just both you and Microsoft get together will you?
Yeah I don't know what to make of the game. Not sure it's my style, but I don't think they could have stayed too similar to the old school style of the originals.
I like the 360 extras better. I really don't care about making of dvds. I prefer soundtracks and cool cases.

What are you on about? Do you have an anti-Australia site thing?
I read a lot of Gameplayer stuff and they have views that often contradict the majority here: some of their writers were pro WW2 when almost everyone here said COD WAW wouldn't work and there were too many WW2 games (all 2 this year). So I don't think they try to put anti-360 headlines out there for hits either; they just put up controversal opinions. Which is good...
I think...
Yeah, I'm sure it's all because of Blu Ray...
I don't think any delays will be because of the 360. If that is true then why not just release it on PS3 first then 360 later: Bioshock did that for the PS3. So did Alone in the Dark.
@ Pavarotti
Mate you need to READ the article, despite the title. It's a DEBATE, which means one guys is FOR and one guy is AGAINST. The title is suggestive of what a lot of people are saying out there..is it a stuff up?
I guess you're right about people being more attracted to negative, but that's in most of these N4G articles....Mind you don't you think it interesting a 360 site has that as a title? You'd expect that from a PS3 site wanting to drag the whole Squ...
Only if they make crap games. Can they do anything amazing except Final Fantasy 3 Billion and five?
I can't really say that Square Enix (despite all the hooplah about them making games for the 360) have really set the world on fire with their games.
Though to be honest I find Japanese RPGs to be overly long, with too many cut scenes or (gasp) reading and not enough gaming. I find the graphical achievements are sometimes amazing and the emphasis on storytelling is laudable, but it doesn't keep my interest.
Can a combinaton of Western and Eastern style make a st...
Bugger. Play-Asia is so expensive to import from now too.
Man it's about time they got it back on track.
Well I guess Sony's Team Soho went from the Getaway (which they seem to have dropped) to Eye Toy and Singstar....lol. Is that a success?
Anyone else have some games that were crap or great made by a studio that tried something different to their successful norm?
So instead of building on a promising start with Black they back out of it and make another 'open-world street racer in the USA' game. That's a lack of confidence in what they learned from the first game to me.
They could have said: okay let's look at the criticism and lets look at what we did right, and match the two for a sequel, but they went back to cars. That's not backing yourself, just like burying a game you somehow predict will get a lower score on Metacritic.
...
I really used to think as you do, but with limited financial resources for myself and with most games not making money for the publishers, risk-taking games will diminish. Changing direction might be good for the developers' creative experimentation, but bad for their bottom line. I'm not going to buy Fracture, even though it's Lucas Arts trying something new with environmental deformation. It just doesn't cut it.
I'm going to pay for a game that is good, not just innovative....
I think the outdoors at the beginning and the indoors at the end show PS3 looking better, but the rooftops bit looks better on 360.
@ PiratThom
Well Microsoft gave Silicon Knights PLENTY of room too, but they came up with Too Human.
This isn't just a "Sony games don't suffer this" thing: Haze was crap.
Boss battles maybe, but not with the HUGE GIGANTIC RIDICULOUSLY LARGE baddies we see too often in games now.
Here's a thought...the boss is just normal sized but skilled?
Anyway where do you think it should go, if you want it to have a new environement?
