Anyone?
It took me 20 min. to get logged in and another 15 min trying to get into the damn PSN store, without succes.
Same sh*t with Xbox Live, whenever something popular appears on Live/PSN, all goes @peshit!
Well done Sony and MS!
;)
Come in! I've made coffee and some cookies asside!
;)
Oh well, we have to give the trolls something to do, right?!
:D
I was watching a (video)demo recently shown of this game and it shows exactly what I find annoying about this game. They are focussing on bringing the city alive with "crowd-gameplay", but the crowd is very unconvincing.
For example, in this video the assassin walks up to someone and suspiciously stands there behind him in broad daylight with people walking around and looking him right in the face. To create a diversion, he stabs his victim and runs away without anybo...
Thats exactly the kind of terminology PS3 fanboys use.
Edit: If you really want to do something usefull, do as I did and report the clown below me as SPAM.
But shelling out 60 Euro's for a 5 hour campaign is a no-go for me. It sure looks awesome, but it's just not worth it if you're only into SP.
I'll hold on for ME, that atleast will last me for 40+ hours.
Good to see the PS3 version on par with the 360 version, but I'd still choose the 360 version over the PS3 version because of the thumbstick layout on the PS3. It's so damn awkward! Plus there's rumble in the 360 version.
Too bad though, I would ha...
A 60GB PS3 (with BC obviously) + Motorstorm + 1 controller for 399 Euro's.
That was enough to convince me to get one. Ok, so Motorstorm is lame and I only get 1 controller but I get BC and that was a big deal for me as I never owned a PS2.
Yes, the combat isn't as smooth as an GRAW or GOW, but what do you expect from a 40+ hours game? It's not a great excuse I agree, but it's just true for the majority of RPG's out there. If you have a game with such variety and such depth, you are going to have to compromise here and there.
Nobody complains about GTA's driving physics not being on par with GT4's for example, because it's just not realistic to expect that from such a game. The same applies here.
Ye...
Unfortunately MS pushed Epic to release this game Q4 '06.
It was quite obvious, the visuals had been downgraded in comparison to the earlier footage shown. It still looks great, but it had some minor downgrades in terms of lighting and textures/AF.
Even sadder is the fact that the content had been cut-down for what they intentionally wanted to put in the 360 version. The Brumak (I believe it's called) was supposed to be in the 360 version I'm sure, but instead we...
He is hired by several gaming studios and facilities who have joined together to awaken as much controverse as possible.
It's kind of like when an accident happens with one of the scary fairground rides, after the accident the ride is more popular than ever. There's no such thing as bad publicity!
Either that or he's just an attention wh@re with nothing better to do. ;)
That's just pure nonsense.
I advice you to have a look at Forza 2 for instance. If you see what people can make that game look like with photomode in comparison to what it actually looks like in-game (which is mediocre at best imo) then you can not come to the conclusion you did.
Photomode offers several CRUCIAL graphical enhancements and camouflaging techniques to make it look like the screens above.
The enviroments in the demo of GT5 prologue are...
You really think the recent developments are lightyears ahead of the demo? I sure don't believe so.
Besides, they do the same with all the GT releases. GTHD looks far superiour in the screens released as well.
Like I said, they have the fundamental basics to look like that (lighting and colour saturation and high poly-count), but it's the nifty camera angles and depth of field techniques that hide the ugly (background) details. Not to mention the obscene amount of AA.
Since recently I'm a proud owner of a PS3 and after playing the demo I can only conclude that these sceenshots give a very misleading image.
Unlike in these shots, the aliasing in the demo is pretty horrible. The enviroments are very PS1-like, which they have cleverly hidden in these shots with nifty camera-angles and depth of field techniques.
That said, PD seem to be the only devs out there that can get the colour saturation and lighting spot on. I mean, if th...
The first one was imo the biggest flop of 2007. What a letdown!
After making a masterpiece like Chronicles of Riddick, I expected a whole lot more from Starbreeze.
But all I got was a mediocre FPS with some lame powers and controls that just felt horrible! The story was pretty cool, but not enough to hold this title.
Nope, not all that excited for this one.
You might not believe this, but even reviewers sometimes suffer from this. :O
Nowhere in my post have I stated that Crysis has no narrative. But you'd already know that if you read my post properly.
If there is a great narrative and Crytek has deliberately not shown this to focus on just the graphics and gameplay, then that is a bad move imo.
Look around, the main issue people seem to have with this game is exactly what I fear which I refere to in my previous post.
If it's there and it's really that good then awesome! But the way Cr...
I had the same issue's with the Bioshock demo, the Skate demo, the Colin Mcrae demo, pretty much any popular demo.
If you have a fast connection and hit it at the right time, you might be lucky, but otherwise you're f*cked. But yes, after a day or two when the network traffic goes down again it's back to normal. But you'd expect them to fix this after so many times, but no! Ms doesn't give a sh*t.
MS is just as bad as Sony with "screwing up something positiv...
