I just can't get excited for this game, but maybe that's just me.
I guess I'm just used to having the thumbsticks that way. The Gamecube controller has it that way, the Xbox controller has it and so does the 360 controller.
It just feels very awkward having the left thumbstick way down there, I just can't get used to it. Apparently most PS owners prefer it this way, but I'd like to see Sony give us an option on this.
The game looks stellar and the fire effects are insane, but I can't stand looking at any jungle anymore!
It's true what people say: The jungles are the new corridors.
Bring back some imagination into video game enviroments, please!
I loved the first one and I'd hate to have to miss out on those hilarious interviews with Peter Molyneux. :)
I hope one will be available soon. The left thumbstick placement should be swapped with the d-pad, where it belongs.
Hopefully atleast some 3rd party controller consisting of this will be released soon.
I finished the game a long time ago. What the hell took them so long?!
Nevermind, it wasn't that big of a deal, but it's kind of disturbing it takes them a few months to fix this.
All the footage shown consists of tearing and frame-rate issues. Whether it's enough to bother you or not is personal. Many people apparently don't care.
I for one do. Playing a perfectly polished game is just much more satisfying than a game with frame-rate issues and tearing. I honestly can't see how it couldn't bother anyone, but whatever. That said, I'm still getting this game as I'm convinced it will be one of the best RPG's and I really need my RPG fix.
And...
Fortunately I have a 360 as well and got the 360 version. But for PS3 only owners this is really disturbing!
Don't let that hold you out on this one though, this package is amazing and definitely worth the wait. You do not want to miss out on this one!
But I think you might be refering to the animation transitions while other are refering to the seperate animations.
The seperate animations in this game are incredibly natural and fluid and are probably the best I've seen yet. But the animation transitions, as with any other game out there, are twitchy and quirky. Going from one animation into another, for instance: from standing to jumping, is just not on the same level as the animations are themselves.

Judging from your post and in the context of you agreeing with TK, it seemed like you were refering to reviewers as well, not just fanboys.
But, it seems I misinterpeted your post then. My bad. ;)
I really don't like the PS3 controller, I can cope with it, but I just can't get used to the placement of the thumbsticks.
The 360 really is the most comfortable controller I've ever experienced. But I hate the fact that you have to get a play&charge kit to recharge the battery. Why can't they just do it like the PS3 controller, charging via the USB cable?!
I just use my own rechargeable batteries for my 360 controller, no way MS is getting money of me like t...
Love the first one! That game is one of the few that actually deserves the 'scary' tag. So damn intense!
The second part seems to be coming on nicely, but the tearing I saw in the last vid was probably even scarier than the game itself! It really hurts the impact of the punches when a huge tear sits in between them.
The game definitely still needs A LOT of work, but I'm convinced it will be just as crazy as the first one. I just hope the addition of a MP won't hu...
Only silly fanboys look up exact scores on Gamerankings to determine if it's AAA or not. Most of the sane people will know by the general reception it's gotten and the production value of the game whether it's an AAA game or not. And in that respect I myself definitely consider R&C AAA material even though I don't like the game one bit.
Also, there's a bit of a grey area there. So to say that game only becomes AAA when jumping from 90% to 90,1% at Gamerankings is just plain...
Though, I disagree with the 'floaty' bit. In the vids I've seen of the demo he still seems to 'lack weight' and comes across very, well...floaty.
It's one of the few technical gripes I have about this game and to be honest, most games suffer from this, but it's very apparent nonetheless.
Do you really believe there are companies deliberately handing out low scores to certain games to prevent them from becoming AAA titles via gamerankings?!
Sound a bit silly to me. Different people just have different opinions and sometimes, some are way of "norm" but that just happens. There's no conspiracy theory going on, or anything.
I remember when Gears of War pretty much outscored Resistance in just about every review and by a fair margian as well...
Thanks.
Thanks.
I don't think they mention this in the review. If it's under 15 hours it's a no-go for me. If it's 20+ I'll most likely get it.
R&C got crazy praise, as did Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime and several JRPG's. Plenty games actually.
But yeah, I know what you mean. This 'grey-trend' is starting to annoy me as well and I actually prefer a bit grittier look to games. I'm not all that into the vibrant colours of R&C and JRPG's, but atleast a bit of colour is desireable!
Some random dude claiming something in a blog without source? That's not "confirmation".
That said, I do see this as being very likely. The game was received extremely well on the 360 and PC. So after the timed exclusive expires, they anounce it for PS3 and release it 6 months later.
It's highly possible, but this is not CONFIRMED, so you really should change the header of this post.
