It was sort of hinted at in the trailers though, so I was expecting this. But it's awesome news nonetheless. A decent cover system is essential for 3rd person action/shooter games imo.
It's details like this that will really give Saint's Row 2 a run for it's money. Though, it's not that difficult to give SR2 a run for it's money anyway, if the first one is anything to go by.
I hope that the character can "slide" into cover like in GeoW. That's why I pre...
Even though RSV and Uncharted's cover systems are great, I personally prefer GeoW cover system because [paste here your constructive motivation].

There I was thinking I invented a new word.
Ho well. ;P
It's not really an RPG, but it's an FP action game with RPG elements. To me, the game looks and feels rather dated. It's a year old PC port and it definitely shows.
Still, I rather like it but I wouldn't spend 60 bucks on it. I'd try out the demo, why not.
So much going on in that trailer, such varied gameplay/enviroments/character s etc. Something tells me we won't be seeing that in the "new" game. The so called "Next-gen" FPS's rarely show that kind of depth and diversity anymore. They'll probably turn it into an 8 hours short corridor fest! :(
Hope I'm proven wrong soon enough with a proper trailer!?
Just because it's regarded as "new" by a certain site doesn't mean it's actually new, as in: Unseen, or not posted here before.
I'm not trying to be cheeky here or anything, but it just annoys me whenever it says "new gameplay footage", just to find out it's actually pretty old footage.
Oh well, carry on! ;)
Fanboys of both sides come with the most ridiculous statements.
MS fanboys will defend and deny any f*ckups by MS, no matter how hard they're being screwed by the company they "adore" so much.
-RROD? "It's just hype!"
-Paying for online? "Well, it's better than Sony's online!"
-Having to purchase all these exlusive MS peripherals because they're not included within the box? "Hey, atleast MS gives us a choice!"...
I'm not flaming one bit, just stating some facts. But perhaps you're refering to TANOD? He's on my ignore list so I wouldn't know what he's on about.
I think it's fine posting comparison videos, as long as they are done correctly, which they aren't often enough.
I just want to get the best version, whether it be for the PS3 or 360, I really don't give a rats *ss.
Just like how Gamevideos.com switched the 360 and PS3 versions in their Skate comparison video, making the 360 look like the "inferiour" version when in fact it was the other way around.
Owning both a 360 and PS3, it'd be nice to know which version to get. But if thses comparisons are that unreliable, what's the point?!
Or did I just dream this?
I can't even begin to imagine when we'll be getting it if we get it after NA gets the game. :(
You can say what you want, but the PS3 is one hell of a piece of equipment. And I'm not necessarily talking about processing power, but about the build quality/reliability and features.
Then again, Sony must have been scratching it's head watching MS with a faulty console design pretty much dominating the PS3 in hardware sales and destroying them in software sales. They now realise they need to shift the focus to the software department if they want to beat MS. No matter how so...
Although the Top Spin franchise leaves a lot to be desired imo, it's still the only tennis game with such gameplay depth and control.
I just always feel the atmosphere lacks somewhat. For instance, I wish they'd add 'live' commentary. Some might find that annoying, but it's the same with the Fifa franchise for instance. The commentary can become annoying and repetitive, but if you'd leave it out, you'd miss it.
Either way, can't wait to see some gameplay footage...
Top Spin is hands down the deepest and most realistic of the two. VT is much more arcadey.
I personally think Top Spin is more fun, not to say VT isn't fun but the gameplay is a bit too shallow to my likings. On the other hand, other people will prefer VT for it's more arcadey addictive style of gameplay.
Also, no need to start a fanboy flamewar over this, grow up both of you.
I know people who have been doing this ever since the 360 released. :P
See, most people won't bother as they want to use their own profile with achievements ect to play online, but for us that just want to download a demo now and then, it isn't relevant. ;)
Just create a new "dummy account". If you create a new silver membership account, you get the '1 month free gold membership' everytime.
That's what I did as well. I'm not paying 60 Euro's a year to get a demo a week earlier while I don't play online games. It's just beyond me how MS manages to pull off stunts like this! >:(

Just create a new account, select an US country and look up a valid US address via google or something and you're off!
Whats the point? Have you seen those (obscene) prices?! Come on, it is EA we're talking about here. ;)
It's for the rich&lazy that can't be bothered to unlock the cars and download them in advance.
I'm fully expecting them to release HL3 on Source Engine 2 sometime during the 'next generation'.
Here's a tissue to wipe your tears away.
Welcome to my ignore list btw.
