I love this kind of stuff! Very immersive. It sucks for people that can't cope with it though, definitely.
I do have a problem with games that have very poor framerates. After playing Saint's Row for an hour for instance, my eyes would start to get extremely tired. Very annoying!
Ah, thanks for the heads up MK_Red.
@yanikins111: I'm dead serious. I do recognize that in this particular trailer, there isn't a lot going on in terms of physics/NPC's or whatever. But in terms of lighting, clarity/sharpness, vibrant colours and mainly art...this is the prettiest game I've seen so far. Technically, it has a lot going for it as well.
Perhaps it has to suffer a bit in terms of stuff going on on-screen, but that doesn't make the game any less prett...
What do you mean by saying "the game had weaker frame-rate"? Was that seen in the trailer an in-game cutscene or something? I was under the impression that it was actual gameplay.
If it was, then we have just seen the best looking game so far this gen, imo. Not even Killzone 2 or Gears 2 can touch it, and they are two amazing looking games at that!
Who cares about resolution, just look at the game and if it looks good then it looks good. What's this obsession with resolution as of late? It's pathetic.
Secondly, if you get the PC version you can set the res to whatever you want (within the supported range).
Lastly, it looks amazing. I Just don't like the setting.
They're utter useless, sorry.
It'd be silly to waste resources on something that is practically unnoticable. Remember GOW1? You look at a door for instance from about 100 feet away and slowly approach the door. At some point, the higher res textures will "smooth/glide" in.
It's just a matter of clever programming, and there are a lot of developers that don't use this and I think they should, because as a whole...the game will turn out prettier due to more efficient use of resources.
Either way, resolution is way overrated anyway. What resolution does COD4 run at again, 640p? It sure as hell beats the crap out of most, if not all 720p/1080p games out there.
Really high resolutions are just not worth the trade off, yet. Once we start approaching photorealism it will become more of an issue. I'll take sub 720p with added fx over 720p + without those fx anyday.
But this game rieks of mediocracy. My hopes are on Killzone 2, Gears 2 etc to fulfil my shooter needs this year.
Looks amazing!
Any sane person will buy GTA IV, not rent it.
Who's the dumbass here when you are saying exactly what I pointed out in my first comment?
Lol, now I see why people just click disagree without replying. It's because when they reply, nothing sensible comes out of it and they don't even read your post properly which results in them looking like even bigger idiots.
Thanks for pointing that out to me.
Well said.
You know, with arguments etc. I can't stand these little kidies that just click disagree without any meaningfull argumentation. That's exactly the mentality that drives the USA to electing idiots like Bush.
All I hear him saying is that it's up to the parents to stop kids playing videogames too often and to have them focus on school instead.
Atleast he doesn't make abuse of the situation to play down videogames, but that's hardly a noble deed.
Sometimes the 360 version comes out better, sometimes the PS3 version.
Lol at the Getalife pop-in/out in the PS3 version though, that should get the flamewars up and running again!
Seriously though, this game is fantastic and I'm just glad to finally being able to enjoy this masterpiece!
Other than that, no.
Sorry.
To me that qualifies as action/adventure, not RPG. And it's not JUST about open worlds, for example, I consider Fable a proper RPG. But that has to do with it's gameplay. There's so much you can do, in terms of NPC interaction, properties, mini-games, side-missions etc.
In Too Human I don't see this kind of depth, I see an action/adventure game with some RPG influences. And if Too Human is considered an RPG you could almost call Ninja Gaiden an RPG as there are several RPG elem...
Just getting sick of all the articles. Let's just show the game already, Bethesda!
Although, it's not entirely new (think: Breakdown for instance) it is the first FP action game to feature such heavy platforming/parcours gameplay.
Furthermore, this game just takes it to another level in terms of animation, camera-movement, presentation and immersion. It's really something else!
I've been waiting for a game like this since I've been playing videogames. I seriously hope they'll pull this one off, as it's not without reason very few developers eve...
