I got to agree with this. The grey "destroyed beauty" look was awesome.
That said, for online play the more vibrant colors help me distinguish a person from the walls better.
So it is a double edged sword....
If that is next gen... I would be very sad.
Did people read the article?
It's as if nobody read the article, jumped to conclusion and spouted nonsense.
Pricing isn't determined by "the product" itself often times. It is the value that is perceived by the consumer.
When the PS Vita was announced, the next competitor was Nintedo 3DS, but now that it has had a price cut consumers now perceive the PS Vita as over priced.
The market has changed and let's hope Sony will too.

I must disagree with you, especially since there are free alternatives on other platforms.
The paying customer subsidizes for those that do not, increasing the pool of "non-payers" means less investment from MS. One of the main reason why Xbox Live is the leader, is due to the fee.
Furthermore, everyone I meet on Xbox Live Gold tends to be very active users and also have a higher attachment to their account. This ...
@reynod
I agree! Sony is an aging company that has a culture that is destroying it. I'm not sure what Sony can do, I mean other than lowering prices they are kind of screwed. To top it off Sony have little experience with creating quality products at affordable prices.
Sony is used to creating quality products and way over price them.
If you don't use the features much, it doesn't matter and you won't notice the difference....
@ElementX
No... but I have seen "homeless" people pass up quick and easy jobs that earns twice as much as flipping burgers!
Most people that says "If you can't afford your hobby, get a new one" are the people that ends up NOT affording it in the long run.

Dang, the game looks pretty good from the pics.
If they nail the controls, there is less and less reasons to bother with a handheld.
@darthv72
I agree.
The concept of patching is essentially non-existent for me on the Xbox 360 as I can download the update while the game is running. It's usually very small and completes quickly and all Xbox Live does is log you out and then log you in and you can play. This usually happens before I even get to the start screen.
No need to "install" patches or reboot the game.

I don't want a society were the freedom to do something is prohibited, simply because it CAN be used in a manner that might hurt someone.
Imagine if we made knives, fire, cars and so on illegal because you CAN murder someone with it?!
You criminalize the action itself, but don't penalize the entire population.

You are right!
I didn't realize MS screwed up on the captcha reset. That is an implementation weakness, and I expect more from large corporations like MS.
It's a weakness of the password system in general.
MS used a CAPTCHA after 8 attempts, which pretty much falls under the category of:
***- CAPTCHA enabled after a single, unsuccessful login that is tied to the username/e-mail address on file to require it for all logins until a successful one is made.***
You must have a very weak password if brute forcing with 8 attempts was a success.
Also, displaying a CAPTCHA after O...

What about my statements are incorrect?
Please be specific as I don't like vague answers.
***The 360 is perfectly capable of "emulating" the job-style engine, although the Xenon is nowhere near as powerful as the Cell, in this regard.***
Well, duh! Emulation will never go faster than native (or natural if you may), because you are adding a layer to "emulate"....
***It's my contention that brute force attacks being successful are signs of a breach in security.***
That is a first time I have ever heard anyone claim brute force attack is a breach of security.
I suppose extending that, one could also claim any system with a password that has had even just one unauthorized access has had a breach regardless of how that "breach" occurred....
Neither says much though.

Kind of glad I'm in the US... get the uncensored violence and sexuality version!
It's the unbalanced system and the weird computational design.
The Xbox 360 has full 3-cores, capable of executing 6 threads. The PS3 Cell has 7 SPE (as one is disabled for better yield), but each are very limited in memory. This means, you have to ensure your task is split up and will fit within the constraints.
This is not only very hard to do, but sometimes impossible without significant degradation in performance.

If you know anything about the history of the Xbox (and subsequently the Xbox 360), you would know that the console was designed to be easy to develop for. MS constantly touted prior the 360's release how content is to be the center and that they didn't want developers to hamper their development b...
Yeah, I do wonder as that 270k accounts for 49% of the market share for the month. I guess the shining light is the increase in "decreasing" market.
We need a new generation now!
