Agreed.

As far as fighting games selling more, it's because the Xbox D-Pad is freaking trash for fighters. The DualShock has always been the next best thing down from an Arcade stick for years.

The fighting hardcore still prefer high end arcade sticks though, which can be obtained for a variety of consoles and even the PC.

Also, the other variety argument makes perfect sense too. The PlayStation brand since the PS1 has always been synonym...

I have the PC Version (Retail with Steam DRM). Like you my first play through only experienced minor glitches. One was almost breaking (the Melissa glitch where if you finish "Don't Make a Beggar Out of Me" before "Oh My Papa" she disappears making finishing the latter impossible) but because I had the PC version I was able to use the console to fix it. I experienced NUMEROUS crashes to the desktop, but nothing game breaking and I never lost much because of the auto sa...

How about fixing a game engine that has been broken for a decade.

Don't get me wrong. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are damn fun games, but the constant game breaking glitches that occur really begin to eat away at the fun factor killing any desire to keep playing.

Last look at my Steam account has me at 117 hours for New Vegas on the 17th. This doesn't include the 20 or so I put in since then because I've had Steam in offline mode to boost stability. ...

ComboBreaker

I don't see Microsoft or Sony pulling a new system so soon. I'm not saying they don't have PlayStation 4.0 and XBOX 3.0 in R&D, just that graphically we have hit a wall.

Developers are still squeezing a little more out of each system (Wii excluded).

About the only thing that can be done to increase the graphical "WOW" factor is pushing draw distances back further, having more "actors" on screen...

"Hasn't this update been out for a while already?
And I don't think it has anything to do with hacking, really."

3.60 also included the final bit of security fixes to completely implement a white-list for pre-3.60 security software and games.

Between 3.56 and 3.60 Sony changed the encryption, decryption, and signature keys to be able to black-list the compromised keys and kill the "Jailbreak" CFWs. ...

Also, another part of this is the Jailbreak programs can be distributed freely without pressure from Apple because the programs contain none of Apple's code. The Jailbreaking programs take advantage of injecting code to make the Phone hickup into a service mode essentially where security features are then turned off.

With PS3 custom firmware, the only people who can get away with distribution are those who put out the signing tools and instructions. However Sony can legal...

No.

However somewhat related, the system still reserves/shares one SPE and a small amount of RAM for the GameOS/Hypervisor (basically the in-game XMB) and one SPE has ALWAYS been completely reserved for security (the Secure Processing Vault) since day one. The PS3 CBE CPU was designed this way intentionally. The SPV polices all code running through the Cell processor, even through the main PPE (Power PC Element) that controls jobs assigned to each SPE; think of the PPE and SP...

There is no ammo. You must enable Archimedes. The catch? There is a way to enable it without turning the NCR against you.

The Fallout wiki is your friend:

NOTE: DO NOT (I'll repeat) DO NOT enable Archimedes and get the C-Finder BEFORE starting Veronica's "I Could Make You Care" quest. You WILL screw yourself royally. You cannot finish this quest if you g...

As far as pure speed is concerned:
Windows: Chrome (However Firefox 4 has been nice lately)
Mac: Safari (Still better than everything else)

Does this mean I use Chrome and Safari over Firefox? Hell no. Because of the extensions/add-ons I tend to use Firefox is the best browser for me.

In all honesty though, the speed differences for me are hardly noticeable. So given the customization that is available with Firefox versus the others, I'll ...

The FBI would be brought in because of the verbal threat toward the judge.

Now unless anything is actually directed at the judge beyond the verbal threat, the FBI is just going to watchdog. The second they begin to go through on their threat though, the FBI will fry their ass.

You are never truly anonymous on the internet. The FBI, CIA and NSA all have ways of tracking your ass down; sometimes by means that push the terms legal and rights to their limits.

@Jezuz
"that's highly unlikely since who owns the internet?"

Who owns the internet? Tier 1 ISPs.

Tier 1 providers are responsible for maintaining and updating the core infrastructure that allows the internet to work. This filters down to Tier 2 providers that update and maintain networks regionally. Finally at the local level there are Tier 3 providers that "sell" internet access to all the Jane and John Does of the world.

@darkpower

Look a little closer bub and read my post a little further up.

THE SERIAL NUMBERS MATCH

They're arguing the ENTIRE string of numbers don't quite match, but the number in question is a combination of the serial number and part numbers. The second half is the configured system's part number and the internal part number (most likely for the motherboard) with what Sony has presented.

PEOPLE DO SOME FREAKING...

The first part is the actual serial number. The second part from the CECH on is the part number.

CECH-2001A is the part number for a 250GB configured Slim PS3.
CECH-4489 is most likely the internal part number for the PS3 Slim's motherboard. This would make sense as to what Sony has record of, because the part number they would see is for the motherboard and not the entire configured system (the hard drive could be changed making the 2001A designation useless as f...

@nikoado

The clock was the main cause for trophy enabled games not working. Being offline will not affect single player.

However, no PSN access also means no game patches to fix glitches. Just imagine playing Fallout New Vegas on the PS3 without its patches... That's just one example.

Sony's not going to be that evil. Just like with the Other OS, Sony is giving people a choice:
1) Run CFW and get ZERO PSN access and support
2) Run OFW with no homebrew (hacks) and play fairly with the rest of the law abiding PSN citizens

You can run all the CFW you want as long as you remain offline and, if your a coder/hacker, stop creating PSN hacks and poking and parading around at Sony every time you find a loophole in any PSN/PS3 security and then p...

Very true. Suspension and downforce are probably the most important things to tweak. 1000 BHP means nothing if the damn thing won't turn.

Speaking of how BHP alone is pointless, the recent seasonal event with '60 - '69 cars is a great case. I had a fully tuned Ginetta G4 that I limited down to meet the 550PP Limitation and was sitting at just north of 120BHP (I think 126), but even the best competition with around double the horsepower had a power to weight (BHP/k...

You also need to take new cars out for a few laps around a practice course to break in the engine.

I've seen as much as 100BHP gain after doing a few laps with a new car (tuned of course) and also after doing an engine rebuild and few laps. Of course, your vehicle can go the opposite direction if you don't maintain your oil and perform rebuilds.

I've noticed everyone can have the same Performance Point rating and yet there are so many factors that...

3,000 vote sample to represent 40+ MILLION possible consoles (Look at the voting choices, it's a poll to legit users and hackers).

Granted...this poll is on a hacking site, so there will be bias.

MAIN POINT: 3,000 is not a good sample size in ANY reliable poll representing millions. Even at 1 million 3,000 is only .003%!! A good poll should at least be closer to 1% with a fairly random unbiased selection.
