@Deku
I see what you did there... :)
Seriously though, a giant face. Andross anyone? I know art inspires art, but the more and more I look at All-Stars the more and more it looks as if they are blatantly ripping everything from Nintendo.
MRMagoo123,
There are people who troll this site that just go down the entire page hitting disagree. That is the problem with this system. If they would set it up so that admins and post owners can see who agreed and disagreed they could possible crack down on the abuse. People are less likely to be d-bags when there is no more anonymity.
Solid State FTW!!! Best upgrade I have EVER done. Saves faster, loads faster, installs faster.
Seriously, with solid state drives getting as cheap as they have I don't know why more people haven't made the switch. Too bad 360 owners cannot legitimately upgrade their drives to a solid state drive; even so if MicroShaft (yes, I did that on purpose) put one out you can guarantee it would be $100 more than the solid state alone.
Why can't people educate themselves. The reason computers (PCs and Macs) have 8GB+ of RAM is because they have the overhead of the operating system and EVERY background process running. Because computers have to be more flexible in what they can run, the OS kernels end up being HUGE to be able to have the flexibility.
Embedded devices such as gaming consoles, cell phones, and tablets have much more streamlined OSes that have very limited kernels meant only for specific li...
The End was stupidly easy. Far from frustrating. Hell, if you utilized the Konami Code the entire thing becomes a joke.
1) Konami Code
2) 70%+ Camo
3) Move Slowly
4) Stay Downwind
5) Profit!
I'm not going to get into the debate of which Bonds are better than others, except that we can all (1) agree to disagree on the subject and (2) Lazenby aside being remembered for doing only one Bond movie should be forgotten as Bond. I mean really, did we even have to include ANYTHING from that train-wreck?
Also on the deal as Bond being portrayed as Daniel Craig, I understand they probably did it to make things simpler (only one model needed) and to try to remove there b...
@CommonSense
By "as a core gamer" I think he is referring to his "core" preference of games.
When I think of "core" gaming (from an individual standpoint) it means the sum of the genres that appeal to you. So in this sense the system which has a broader and larger selection that interests you is your core system. Though, this means the definition is subjective to each person's preferences.
If you think of &qu...
Looking at the comments I just wanted to add my two cents.
For starters I cannot comment on Dark Souls difficulty, only that some things were "nerfed" from Demons' Souls that could theoretically make the game easier. I leave my comments on Dark Souls difficulty at that.
Personally, I would not define Demons' Souls as HARD. It is more PUNISHING than HARD. Does this mean Demons' Souls is difficult? NO. If you pace yourself and know to lear...
If the original saves were copy-protected and locked they could have had retroactive trophies.
Sadly, this was not the case. To make it fair for EVERYONE, EVERYONE must start fresh with a clean slate. Sucks, but if you were able to do it legitimately before then you should be able to do it again right?
In all fairness, the Big Boss emblem playthrough still does not hold a candle to the difficulty of an Extreme playthrough of MGS2 much less MGS2:Substance'...
@sikbeta
iPod songs are difficult not only for the Big Boss emblem, but also the fact you need ALL 40 emblems (another song is award for this).
What is funny is chicken can be almost as hard (by this I usually mean time consuming) as Big Boss to obtain because you need to intentionally be REALLY REALLY BAD. The upside though is getting chicken will also net you a few other emblems like Giant Panda and Pig.
Both have their place and both will never go away. PC gaming has flexibility and upgrade-ability in terms of the hardware (and often games in the sense of mods), but console gaming has the advantage of pop-in and go because every console has the same hardware and games are designed for that specific configuration.
Which platform any person will be better off with directly corresponds to the type of gamer that they are. I consider myself a little of both types, but ever since ...
There are two distinctly different models of Slims. One model has LEDs behind the power and eject buttons and the newer (cheaper) version does not.

The reason is because the Pre-FFX Final Fantasies' formulas just "worked". FF7, 8, and 9 have the biggest split of audiences as I have met people who favor each of their systems. Between the three I preferred FF8, then FF9, and FF7 last as I wasn't too keen of the Materia system. FF8 & FF9 are on the same level to me as far as battle systems go, but I enjoyed the story of FF8 more than FF9.
People have thought that the fran...
Yes tack129. In fact it might need more than double the space (at least temporarily). The download is a compressed installer package that essentially must first be decompressed and then installed.
The only reason I think they cannot do both at the same time is the PS3's method of encrypting data on the hard drive. Every PS3's data is uniquely encrypted so that you cannot just swap drives between two different PS3s and still access the data (so one PS3's data is es...
This is because Sony has realized they get a better return by slowly phasing systems out when they release the new ones unlike Nintendo and Microsoft who have out right dropped all support the second the new version hits the shelves. By overlapping their systems they (1) give plenty of time for old generation owners to slowly adopt the new system and (2) get a better return on their investment through continued sales later in the older consoles life (usually in "third world" markets...
You do know about Amazon's pre-order guarantees right?
Whenever you pre-order a game from Amazon you get the lowest price they list up to release. So even if you pre-order at say $54, if the price is $45 by release Amazon only charges you $45 or refunds the difference if you were already charged. I've had this happen MANY times with my Amazon pre-orders.

Actually you can separate out the DLC trophies when viewing them on the PS3 and see individual percentages for each DLC and the main game.
When in the trophy list either press square to group or press triangle for the menu and select "group by".
Triangle hides a lot of features on the PS3 as far as sorting and viewing; it's not just for movies, pictures, and music, but also the trophy list and your PSN games that are installed (you can add categ...

@Aloren
Actually every single PS3 title is given a TOTAL value that they can have, obviously Blu-Ray titles being worth more than PSN titles.
That being said, devs are limited with how they can divy up the trophies. If they put in a lot of Golds, that takes away the overall total they can have, meaning FAR less Silver and Bronze.
A rough valuing for the Trophy system is this (at least as far as percentage of completion for the individual game...

Sony has realized the benefit of continued product support once you launch the next generation. It softens the sting of having to get a new console at the beginning of each of the generations. Those who really want it will get it on launch anyways, why punish the late comers to the previous generation by dropping support altogether. This also prevents you from loosing sales by leaving a "bad taste" with people.
There is a re...
