I don't know about the legitimacy of this issue, but I can speak about exploding capacitors from my experience.
Capacitors CAN explode. Hell I was in the room when I witnessed one go in my power supply in my now ancient desktop. There was a nice loud POP, a flash of light from the power supply, a god awful sickening smell, and obviously a sudden powering down of my computer. I took apart the power supply to see just how bad it was and one of the larger main caps in the po...
The title was for hits. I have been in both the PC and console gamer camps and I will NEVER defend PC gaming as far as economics are concerned.
Frankly, anyone who spends thousands of dollars to build PCs JUST for gaming is just delusional. Once past $1,000 you better be using the system for more than gaming.
I spent $2800 building my PC for longevity and usefulness -- not to mention it was a blast to build from the ground up. Gaming is a minor aspect. I don&...
I hate to tell you that aside from the off screen play, EVERYTHING is possible on the other consoles with "Second Screen".
The benefits of second screen over the WiiU controller is that you can use ANY iOS/Android/Surface(XB1) that you already own as a second screen device. Sure you might say, but now I have to spend $300 to get access to second screen -- BUT can your WiiU controller give you access to ALL the other benefits that a tablet gives you anyway?...No it c...
The DS4 does have a shorter battery life than the DS3 due to a much smaller mAH battery, but the life is NOT 6 hours. I have had 10-12 hour sessions with a fully charged DS4 before needing to charge it again.
I've disabled the built in speaker, so I don't know exactly how much battery that has given me, but I can't imagine it's more than 30mins to a hour at best.
Frankly, I'm with everyone else in that built-in rechargeable li-ion beats AA...
A sequel would be nice, but sadly this was Pandemic's last hurrah. What a way to go, right?
Why is it some of the best games come from companies that get shut down?
This and Kingdoms of Amalur are a couple of my favorite games that were actually a lot better than people gave them credit for and both developers are now gone, coincidentally both games were published via EA (not that they're necessarily responsible).
I wouldn't mind getting Infinite free for console. I played it on PC.
I LOVED the story of Infinite and its twist. There are some things, like the Skyline gameplay, I felt had fallen a little short of their potential, but it was nothing to detract too much from the overall game. The game still had a linear feel, but nothing as narrow as BioShock 2 -- I feel the linearity fell between BioShock 1 and 2 -- again not too detracting.
I've never picked up A...
@rainslacker
Yeah. HDMI CEC works on both, but it seems to have a little lag to it which is why I don't use it beyond turning on all devices at once.
I have successfully synced the PS3 Blueooth remote with my PS4, but none of the input works. Sony doesn't have the PS4 setup to recognize the PS3 Bluetooth remote fully (like an absence of drivers).

And it paid off. User content creation was nothing new, but LittleBigPlanet brought it to the forefront, especially for consoles. Brings a whole new meaning to the term "sandbox" game.
Let's face it, games like Spark wouldn't probably exist if LittleBigPlanet was never made nor blew up in popularity like it did. LittleBigPlanet proved a couple things -- new formulas can work and it terms of its formula it REALLY works.
I can do something similar with my Samsung TV and receiver, but the HDMI CEC control isn't as smooth as the Bluetooth remote I use with my PS3. The added bonus of no need for line of sight is nice too -- I can control my TV & receiver via an iOS app but there is lag because it goes over the wireless network instead of a dedicated connection like the Blueooth PS3 remote.
My only disappointment is the lack of a good official remote.
Most of this can be fixed in software updates and Sony did say they were focused on games first and everything else would follow. For the most part this was kind of the same case with the PS3, although with more emphasis on BluRay playback as the system was the BluRay association's trojan horse into the living room -- the point I'm making is there were a lot of features PS3 owners take for granted that neve...
I'm with iamnsuperman. It's more to do with the fact China will buy stuff made in China. It also has a little to do with economics as imported goods (even those that are MADE IN CHINA, exported and re-imported) are ridiculously expensive for most people.
If you want to know about China's car industry you should watch Top Gear Season 18 - Episode 2:

@Omegasyde
Not all HD remasters this generation have been sold at full prices.
In fact, I've bought a couple myself and they were between $20-$30. I have the Metal Gear, Kingdom Hearts, Sly, and Jak and Daxter HD collections. All of these contained 2-3 PS2 games redone in HD for an average of $10 a game -- not bad. I also have Ico and SotC HD, but I got those via PS+ so they didn't cost me anything besides HDD space -- though I warn they broke SotC by...
Actually the camera probably was fixed to the real car. It could have just been a crappy camera or the mount didn't have very good isolation and all the road and engine vibration was carried through to the camera.
I've seen GoPros that were properly attached to cars that had much better footage than this. Not to say this couldn't have been shot with a GoPro, if it was it was improperly attached to the car.
It's in the story:
"As Hakoom pointed out on Twitter, 180 points are given for a platinum trophy (won by earning all trophies offered by a game), 90 for each gold trophy, 30 for a silver and 15 for a bronze. It takes 880,000 points to get to level 100. Hakoom says it took 1,900 days—more than five years—for him to pull this off. That’s a lot of gaming."
So with point values: 880,000 Points.
This is still not a direct 1-to-1 comp...
I don't think anyone is going away from the market. The only reason SEGA sank was that they made too many poor decisions leading into the Dreamcast that it could not save them -- between the Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, the Saturn, and the Dreamcast they sank too much money on R&D and were banking on the Saturn and Dreamcast being MUCH more successful then they actually were.
Had Microsoft not gone anti-consumer earlier this year the WiiU might be in worse shape, but Micros...
Sweet, because I have the PS3 version I get the Vita and PS4 versions free. Kinda sucks for PSP owners/buyers that cross-buy doesn't always translate to those purchases.
All that's left now is Journey, which I personally think is the best of the three.
Actually some PS2 games can be run on a decent PC fairly well (I've personally tested Final Fantasy XII on my own PC). There are emulators out there for PS2 games granted those "emulators" still use dumped PS2 BIOS ROMs, but the PS2 hardware is still being emulated.
The caveat to the PS2 emulators is games where developers "thought out of the box" to achieve certain effects have weird behavior in these emulators since they cannot mimic the PS2 hardware...
I don't mind what Assassin's Creed has become. What I do mind (in a good way) is that they fixed the absurd optional mission objective nonsense that Assassin's Creed 3 had; AC4 hardly has a single optional objective that requires much to go out of the way and do -- there are still a few WTF objectives that are a little vague in "where" you need to go to accomplish them, but watching a walkthrough video quickly answers this -- doing the action is not hard once you know wh...
FarCry3 and AC3/4 are developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Seeing as AC3 and FarCry3 were made around the same time too it's understandable that some elements seem the same. The "hunting" mechanic and weather effects were practically identical.
The entire time I was playing FarCry3 I would sometimes think to myself "this is Assassin's Creed with guns and no assassin's blades."
This is Ubi we are talking about, there will definitely b...
People are probably thinking the Xbox One is the better system "now" due to having a few more appealing games currently available. (subjective)
Here is the thing though, people who buy launch day consoles know that the launch lineup choices are going to be limited for a few months until more games release.
So, why is the PS4 selling better? Well there is a multitude of reasons:
1) Cheaper << I personally believe this is the biggest con...
