Ironic is not quite the right word. Hypocritical would be a better choice.
Now I'm going to pick on American's who find this distasteful that fall into such a hypocrite role. Just as a note I myself am American and do realize 1) not all Americans are the same and 2) there are just as many other cultures and societies that could be considered JUST as hypocritical.
Americans (the conservative ones) whine and complain about "slightly" racy or s...

Between this and the Mayonnaise-game I don't know what to think of Japanese gaming culture. They sure can be "niche" and odd when you look at what European and American gaming cultures prefer.
I'm not saying this is good or bad, just odd (personally speaking). It's easy to understand why games like this wouldn't be accepted by other cultures, but harder to wrap your head around why something like this has becom...
Is EB still independent in Canada or did GameStop buy them out up there too, but keep the name?
If it is the latter, I'm not surprised one iota. This reeks of GameStop-esk douche-baggery.
At least there are online retailers like Amazon to fall back on and vote NO to these guys with your wallets.
Having worked in retail, you loose money on product that is not moving.
You (the retailer/distributor) have already paid for the console either from a distributor or the manufacturer directly and now you must pay to store that product until the next consumer (another retailer/or the end customer) buys it off your hands.
Generally speaking you are already loosing money toward paying employees and utilities to keep track of the inventory (product) after 3 month...
People also seem to forget that the PS3 was a pawn to get Blu-Ray standardized.
Guess what? It DID. The PS3 is the SOLE reason HD-DVD is dead. The PS3 caused more and more people to buy Blu-Ray films, enough so for Time Warner (Warner Brothers) to make their decision to drop HD-DVD and go full on Blu-Ray. Time Warner was the domino the market needed and after Warner's decision the rest of the hold outs followed suit.
So the initial losses of the PS3 are F...
While I agree with you Demon's Souls is harder than Dark Souls, this is our opinion based on our playstyle of each game.
I've seen arguments to why one is harder than the other, but I've come to realize this is all dependent on how you play the games. Check-pointing makes Dark Souls easier than Demon's Souls in some respects, but infinite spell casting (meaning you can spam spells as long as you can restore MP) makes Demon's Souls easier in others. Both ga...
What is worrying (when looking at the launch lined-up graphs) is the "growth" curve of the WiiU.
The curve is very shallow and has "plateaued" out. When looking at a graph this way you get a better idea of consumer interest in a console/product over time (the longer the time frame and more sample points the better).
So while the WiiU has a head start, waning consumer interest doesn't reassure the longevity of that lead.
Same as the tricks for AC3, just beware Ubi wised up to this and upped the AI for more difficult levels to match those AI's in the online games people are playing AC against.
Basically, even with the best online AI you can find, most games (at expert) either end in a stalemate or you will loose or win about a quarter of the time (50/50 if the game cannot stalemate).
Intermediate you'll win with an online AI about 80% of the time 10/10 to stalemate/loo...
People seem to forget, Sony owns the rights to all of the characters from Final Fantasy VII (in part to the funding of the game's production on the PSOne). Square has to have their permission to release a game featuring those characters on other systems.
So, you can guess that from this little tid bit of knowledge what Square's chances are getting permission to release ANY Kingdom Hearts HD Remix on the Xbox systems.
Square would either have to loose ...
20GB is a pretty ludicrous cap. Mine is a "virtual cap" around 200GB, but if you hit it all they do is slow your connection until the end of the month. If you go over cap too often they send you a very cross email and try and upgrade you to the next tier of service (as an option of course).
About the TVs, Sony Bravias have always been good TVs, but Samsung has been more aggressive competition that has offered TVs with just as much quality (close enough for the average consumer) and as many if not more features built in and all at a MUCH cheaper price.
Sony could bring down the price a little on their TVs. Maybe not down to Samsung's levels, but close enough to take some of the "smug, brand loyalty tax" off. Seriously the major reason for Bravias...
Have you played Titan Mode?
Yeah and Ubi freakin' reset my challenges (multiplayer) with the update. I was trying to work on using each of the characters 20 times (partially to finish my figurine shelf in single-player) and now I have to start all over.
I also had almost all of the Wolfpack challenges done too.
I think this is just a bit too bulky. I would rather do like EeJLP and use a sufficiently long enough cord to charge when I need to or wait until after-market replacement Li-Ion battery packs are made for the DS4 with higher mAH ratings than the stock battery.
I do the same. I've been nabbing Vita games so that once I do get around to getting one I'll already have a huge list of games to download and play.
I went through my list of claimed Vita games (some from PS+ and some from cross-buy) and the total install size would be just short of 30GB -- though I never planned on downloading and installing EVERYTHING.
I am doubtful against this. Sony only bones PSP buyers and excludes those versions from cross-buy. If you bought the PSVita/PS3 (already cross-buy between the PS3 and Vita) version you'll be entitled to the PS4 version. If the PSVita and PS3 versions didn't already have cross-buy I can see this holding some water and being the case, but otherwise no.
Backwards compatibility, while being a nice BONUS, should not be your sole motivator for buying a gaming platform. This is because backwards compatibility (at least in the case of consoles) has always been meant as just that, a BONUS, not a core feature. The core feature or focus is the current games not the old ones.
Backwards compatibility was meant to serve as a cross-over between generations to blur the gap. It also increases interest in the new console for those who did ...

I'd just like to point out that Naughty Dog was a second party studio. Sony never "bought" exclusivity from Naughty Dog until they literally bought the studio. It was Naughty Dog's choice to have some of their games published ONLY on the PlayStation. This is what we call second party. Insomniac was and still is the same -- in fact they're releasing a second party title for the Xbox (which as far as we currently know is their, or at least Ted Price&...
For solo play I prefer Wanted or Deathmatch. I'm terrible at Assassinate and most of the boosters have zero use in Assassinate.
As far as team modes Manhunt is the way to go. Artifact Assault (aka CTF) is a little boring in comparison to Manhunt. Domination, while a little more fun than Artifact Assault, still needs some refinement. Domination currently has some exploitation (aka cheats) that KILLS any motivation to keep playing it when d-bags make use of these exploits. ...
You don't need a comparison... watch the walkthrough of Shadow of Mordor on CVG:

It's freaking uncanny even to an amateur eye.
This still looks like an interesting game despite the controversy. Hopefully someone fesses up to licensing out the assets so the game can stay as is, b...
