While I agree that flash should be added and that there is no reason it shouldn't since the PS4 is on a constant power source and doesn't have to worry about drain on battery life (the primary reason flash isn't on many mobile devices), flash is slowly dieing to HTML5.

Even Adobe themselves has admitted flash is an old outdated solution to interactive web content and has started to back the HTML5 train.

Off-topic: Has anyone done an HTML5 "li...

@hellvaguy

The battery life is longer than 7 hours. I have had 12+ hour sessions with AC4 before I killed my DS4. Disabling the built-in speaker bought me an additional hour or so.

In my personal opinion this is my ONLY issue with the DS4. My DS3's seem to get a much longer run off a full charge than the DS4, but I imagine that this is due to the speaker, the LED bar, and possibly a smaller li-ion battery. I don't remember if anyone took one apart and...

This isn't to hard to imagine if you've played Saboteur. That being said, I'd be stoked if this was actually made. GTA is becoming "meh" and games like this need to be made to "refresh" the sandbox genre.

I guess they learned a little after SimCity... a little.

Actually it was a backstab. Sony, ie. Ken Kutaragi, was at the CES in Vegas announcing the damn thing as Nintendo 'nigged out of their contract for the device to go to Panasonic to develop what later became the GameCube.

The heads of Sony at the time, all Japanese BTW, were furious at this action. To them it was the ultimate form of dishonor and distrust (remember how high of a pedestal honor is placed in Japan). The heads at the time had ZERO interest in the gaming indus...

With TKCMuzzer and TFJWM.

Does the Xbox One not support HDMI control? I find this odd to be excluded for an "All in One" box.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

My PS3 and PS4 both support HDMI control along with my receiver and HDTV. Different vendors call it different things (Samsung calls it Anynet and Anynet+) but it's all the same; the device passes commands to ot...

Just a note -- The Altair, Ezio, and Connor outfits will unlock cross-platform if you used UPlay. All 3 immediately unlocked on my PS4 from the start after signing into UPlay.

I agree. I had ZERO interest in Saints Row until I got Saints Row 3 with PS+. I had such a freaking blast with the game that as soon as I had the chance I preordered Saints Row 4.

Another PS+ game I had fun with was "The Cave". I would have never gone out on a limb to buy it, but since I had PS+ there was nothing to lose and it was a fun little game. If they ever make a sequel you can bet that I'll grab it.

The only g...

Only the upgrades for the house specifically. The stores are helpful as they are the quickest to get to via fast travel and the brothel and bonfire make hires free.

I held off on the house until I got a majority of my ship upgrades and had a large sum rolling in via Kenway's Fleet.

Yeah, doing a quick read through most of the $13,000 is in customization and overclocking. I can guarantee you the base component cost is but a fraction of the total cost.

Sure no one in their right mind will ever do this themselves unless they have (1) lots of free time and [<< "AND" is a keyword here] (2) lots of expendable income.

For everyone else they'll either pay up (they have tons of money and zero care to build it themselves - aka...

He's irritated with collecting treasure because other aspects of the game, namely the Kenway's Fleet minigame, undermine the collecting of the treasure chests as their rewards are far outweighed by those you receive from the minigame. He also nitpicks at a few other minor details/annoyances. This is silly because the minigame portion of ALL the AC games since AC2 make you money hand over fist -- it's supposed to; to make collecting all the weapons, upgrades, and artwork easier and...

"While accurate, users can forego this limitation by designating their PS4 as their primary system."

Well duh!!

So you can play PS4 digital content offline ON THE PRIMARY ACTIVATED SYSTEM.

Who the hell does not activate their first PS4 as their Primary System?

The WHOLE reason the digital limitation is in place is to tighten the noose on game sharing. Irregardless, other users on a PS4 console can use ONLY the conte...

Had Siren for the PS2. Creepy as hell. I loved the story concept. I never picked up Blood Curse, because I got my fill with the first game.

If this rumor turns out to be true though I may just pick Siren up again on the PS4.

That is also assuming that the "redundant" data doesn't exceed the size of the SSD cache (8GB on most hybrid drives).

So as long as the data that is constantly being accessed from the hard drive stays under 8GB you'll notice near SSD performance as the data is being pulled from the SSD cache and not the conventional drive. Once you have a cache miss (data not on the SSD portion) then you get MUCH slower access times due to the failed...

No it was designed to cut costs wherever possible. Microsoft just went with the lowest bid for optical and hard drives. Just look at how cheap they got with the 360's optical drive. Are you surprised?

Microsoft's hardware design is driven by economics not engineering. For Microsoft cost comes first, design second -- make it cheap then make it work (or at least some loose definition of the word).

The difference is one uses a fan the other uses a blower.

The average joe may say a blower is a fan, but it just isn't. The physics of how each moves air is different due to the blade geometry and arrangement.

Blowers will always move CFM of air per RPM than fans purely because of how much air is being captured and "thrown".

It is true that the larger a fan is the less RPMs are required to move the same CFM, but that is if were ...

Actually this is required if you do any of the PS3 to PS4 upgrades. Essentially you insert the PS3 disc as proof of ownership and it will allow you to purchase and run a special DRM protected Digital Download version of the game for the PS4.

The PS3 disc will unfortunately always be required to play the digital upgrade version to prevent people from borrowing a game and just spending $10 to get the upgrade as if it were a full game.

That being said, it isn...

My order of preference is:
Firefox
Chrome
Safari <- Only on my Mac; the Windows version sucks worse than IE.

I only use IE for downloading stuff from Microsoft's website to avoid the extra Genuine Windows validation steps that occur on some of their downloads. I gave up on Opera a long time ago as I absolutely hated the layout of the interface.

The ONLY reason I use Firefox so heavily is because of the extensions I like to use. ...

As a gauge:

My PS3 with an SSD takes about 10-15 seconds to boot; this includes the HDMI commands that turn on my receiver (and TV if it is off) and switch both my TV and receiver to the proper inputs.

My PS4 with the standard HDD takes about 30-40 seconds to do all the same things above.

My PC (Windows 7 Pro 64, Gigabyte G1.Sniper 3, Ivy Bridge 3770K i7, 16GB DDR3 1866MHz, Crucial M4 256GB SSD, 2x Radeon HD 7770 in Crossfire) takes about 15-...

Having played many Metal Gear games, on the surface they tend to be easy, but once you start playing on the harder difficulties, S-Rank some missions, or go after that highly sought Big Boss emblem then things begin to ramp up significantly.

MGS2 on Very Hard and its VR missions require absolute mastery of the game to finish.

MGS3 was overall fairly easy for the most part, unless you just really want to challenge yourself for the Big Boss ranking (it wasn'...
