I never got excited. Even if they made Halo Reach in 3D I wouldn't care. I don't plan on buying a 3D TV anytime in the next few years so the 3D feature would be worthless to me.

Aren't even close? Pfft! give me a break. They definitely are close. Animations, lighting, textures and character models are definitely in the same ballpark. Uncharted 2 probably looks better, but quit with the exaggerating.
Uncharted 2 looks really good and it is probably currently the best looking game overall right now, but it's a marginal thing. Games like Gears of War 2 and God of War 3 are right behind it.

But let me put this in perspective: say I go into an uncharted 2 article and say how unimpressive it is and how much better Gears of War 3 looks, how tolerant are you going to be then SkullSmasher? Yes, Final Fantasy 13 was clearly inferior on the 360, but there have been a huge number of cross platform games that on the PS3 had essentially the same degree of inferiority. Ghostbusters, Bioshock, Red Dead Redemption, Chronicles of Riddick and The Orange Box to name a few.

It's actually the updated Unreal 3 Engine. The lighting has been really improved and you can see it in games like Enslaved, Bulletstorm and Gears of War 3. It does look awesome though doesn't it.
I've had this on my radar for quite some time. I think it looks exciting and unique. The graphics and character models look excellent and I sense a fairly deep narrative is present throughout the game. I will definitely be getting this game.

PS3 fanboys weren't so numerous back then, but they sure weren't outnumbered either. And the PS3 fanboys that were here said plenty of crap about the 360 even back then.
