I think it is time for Sony to start focusing on Sony. No more jabs at Microsoft made by Kevin Butler or other Sony reps.
You see, it goes both ways. But I'm not a naive 19 year old, I know that this is just how business is done. I don't think either company have gone too far with it or anything.
Half of PS3 fanboys' brains are dead so...
Your brain must be dead if you think half of all 360s sold are dead. Such a scenario absolutely doesn't coincide with the software sales, and that's even taking into consideration that the 360 has a pretty big problem with piracy. No, all indications point to the likelihood that most 360s that have been sold are still out there being used as gaming consoles.
Long live Halo! And it could be GOTY. I just know it looks amazing and will almost certainly play amazingly well.
I basically agree with you. However, I think we all know that in a sense it is just a shorthand way of saying "I think such and such will be GOTY".
Still, it would be better if people made it clear that it is merely their opinion.
@inveni0
"Will it be the same 3D that Killzone 3 has? If Jimmy Fallon doesn't crap his pants with awesomeness, then no...it's not."
Oh puhlease, like Jimmy Fallon is some kind of supremely wise, all-knowing god of gaming. Give me a break.
Jimmy Fallon seems about as soft core as they come.
I'm not interested in Blu-ray and so for me that feature adds no extra value on a personal level. In my opinion Blu-ray movies are too expensive and the quality over DVD is not sufficient to warrant buying my collection of movies over again, nor paying $10 more for new releases.
Likewise, some people might already have a high quality Blu-ray player and therefor may possibly not see as much value in that feature as you do.
As far as the online services go...
You're an idiot.
You mean see that for the 8th time? Because that's what it has literally been. One failure or even dozens of failures is statistically insignificant. I can't believe how immature and lacking in basic critical thinking skills many of you are.
And what exactly do you think that proves? This test was done in a enclosed cabinet and I doubt you play your PS3 in an tightly enclosed space.
I also often play my 360 all day and it has never given me problems.
All this little stress test did is give a bit of an indication that the new 360s under those conditions do not have a general defect that would make them fail. It's just a bit of evidence that the new 360 S is a more reliable machine than origi...
Really? How mature of you. I swear PS3 fanboys are the scum of the earth. One console fails and you start saying crap like this. Reported.
And here come the ignorant PS3 fanboy trolls trying to act like this means something.
It is possible the guy is a fanboy and faked it. We don't know who this guy is and people can fake all kinds of crap on the internet. It happens all the time.
But even if it did die on him it doesn't mean anything about the general reliability of the console. It is always INEVITABLE that some consoles will be defective and fail prematurely.
This article will be filled with mostly PS3 fanboys trolling. Just watch.
Are you guys that ignorant? Did you really expect that not a single 360 would fail? You're a moron if you did. Every console has some defective units. PS3 does, the Wii does and so does the 360. This is not newsworthy.
chidori, pull your head out of your you-know-what, the textures in Rage are excellent. In fact, they look better than the textures in Killzone 3. I have seen screenshots of Killzone 3 and you can see how low res some of the textures are.
The other thing is, Rage has much more expansive environments and also runs at TWICE the framerate. That is a HUGE difference.
Not to mention that Rage isn't affraid to go into the full brightness of day and to use a f...
It's a great price. I think a lot of people that want to get into high def gaming will find that a nice price point for the new Xbox 360 S.
Did you notice how the shadows are now dynamic and cast across the characters and environment in real time? That is a pretty big leap forward graphically. Especially since the textures seem to be as good as ever and all the other effects look as solid as ever.
@peeps
I guess some might say the same about Killzone 3. I literally saw almost no improvement in the recent gameplay video that was released.
The fact that Gears 3 has graphics of that qua...
Actually, it is a pretty big leap. Just the fact that Gears 3 now has dynamic lighting and shadows makes it a significant leap.
@Darksniper
Sorry to burst your bubble, buddy, but LittleBigPlanet and Infamous 2 are not really that visually impressive. They look decent enough, don't get me wrong, but nothing we haven't seen many times on the 360. In terms of open world games, Assassin's Creed and Red Dead Redemption both look much better than Infamous. L...
Gears of War 3 looks terrific. The lighting has seen a major overhaul and it all comes together beautifully. I am counting the days until we get to play this.
Halo Reach does have killer graphics. They are quite a step up from Halo 3 and are easily some of the best graphics seen in a shooter.
Personally, of the games already announced for the 360 and the PS3, I find the 360s lineup to be the more appealing.
The reality is, most of you ps3 fanboys have your head so far up Sony's @ss that you can't see anything else. You guys can't seem to comprehend that outside your little world people might not see things the same way as you.
For example, I have both consoles and so far this year the only PS3 exclusive I have bought is God of War 3. I couldn't care less about Mod Nation Racers, it simply does appeal to me. On the other hand I have bought Mass Effect 2, Alan W...
You should rename yourself "delusionalclown", since that is what you must be to not realize that your opinions do not constitute facts.
My opinion is 360 > PS3 > Wii, but I do not believe my opinion is the only right one.
